See, this is the kind of talking points and arguments made that are found strictly in fringe left circles.

"As a man, you can't have that opinion on abortion."
"As a straight person, you can't have an opinion on LGBTQRSTUV issues!"
"As a white person, you need to shut up as you'll never understand a world outside your white privilege! Try being a black lesbian!"


You never hear this kind of talk anywhere outside the far left. Right, center, and center-left people don't talk like this; we all have conversations without dividing each other into groups and silencing one another. This is because left doesn't see people as individuals. They see people as collectives and groups.

I call this "soysplaining"

If you want to solve problems of racism, abortion, LGBT issues, we need to include everyone in the conversation. No more soysplaining.

If you weren't just pretending to care about these "issues", you would know that the main reason this discourse comes up is because of the certain demographics that used to dominate the "conversation". Sure the privileged can engage in dialogue with marginalized communities, as that happens all over.

One of the countless things that comes with privilege is the ability to dominate a space and/or a conversation. And marginalized communities reached a breaking point with that. If anyone is to dominate a discourse surrounding their liberation, it should obviously be themselves.

I'm not saying all opinions are not valid. I am saying a fish does not know it swims. White men often have the strongest opinions about people different to them.How are you as a male more qualified to say what a women should do?

You certainly do find this attitude in right wing circles. For example with guns. Pro-gun people will say you have no right to make a gun law since you do not use them and do not understand them. It is their culture not for outsiders. I am excluded from the conversation simply for my views.

 

If you're for improved gun control as an American its better to just move to another country is another fairly common one.

reminds me a story on Little house when the girls had to sell their medicine. They got the idea that being a good talker was good for the trade. As they watched adults makes ways and means thru trade or their hustle. Only to get taken by mostly adults and others that would con them out of the medicine with some sob story..

 

Sure a lot of them are, and you dont see me voting for them or voicing my support for them or constantly defending them the way you defend Trump. A rare few do have integrity and those are the ones I support so i'm not sure what point you think you're proving to me.

But furthermore, Trump was a conman a long time before he became a politician. Ask the people of New York if Trump's a conman, ask all the contractors he screwed over and never paid, ask the people in Scotland who live near his dumb golf course.

 

I lost houses because of Obamas housing crisis and nearly my life because of Obama care. Almost lost this house too.. Democrat plantation here would love that.
