    @Irminsul wait
Did you think I was talking about you?
If so, I wasn’t. I was talking about myself.

Yeah I’m super confused. Glad it’s happening online and not in person. That would be awkward.

The sister-in-law thinks we're driving back 50+ miles, through Atlanta, in the rain, during the Super Bowl, to her house to spend the day with them again. Last night hubby left her thinking we were.

I would have just told her that we weren't but hubby prefers to lie to her and make up excuses afterward. He always has because she never wants to take "No" for an answer.

That's not how I operate but whatever. Those aren't my family dynamics to deal with.

I am relieved that we aren't going back today, though.

I feel this so much..... every thing you described
    Deep breaths
    Shallow breaths
    Coming silence
    Sigh of relief.....

I'm emotionally there with you and your family now.

    Please take care...

    Thank You, Pete! I will.

I am relieved to have just learned that Charlie was transported to a Hospice facility during the night.

He needs care that is beyond the capabilities of his wife and daughter because of the delirium/deep sleep cycle he is passing through right now.

Hospice told them he might last two more weeks. I thought/think it may be less. I hope it is less for all their sakes.

At any rate, their is a huge sigh of relief from Betty, Lonnie, Hubby, and I. For his wife and daughter to have experienced doing all that they could do for him will help them with the letting go.

Again, thank you. This really can't be easy for you to listen to.

    I'm relieved to Aeri...

    Misty wanted to be home.
She knows now that was the wrong choice because I went through total Hell trying to care for her.

My advice for anyone is go and take your loved one to a hospice care facility.
Professionals are there 24/7 to take care of pain management and complete comfort.

Where at home, an inexperienced and emotional loved one is trying to relieve pain and provide comfort by reading the symptoms instructions off a morphine bottle.

I agree for the most part.

My dad was at home with Hospice for 9 months. He had COPD. Mother and my brother lived in the home, with me 5 miles away. We managed well. Daddy didn't have any of the combative symptoms that my brother-in-law is having.

Mom went straight into a Hospice facility from the hospital because she had a feeding tube. She only lasted two weeks there and never had the combative symptoms either. Her condition during that time was called "Geriatric Failure To Thrive". She had Multiple Myeloma but that's not what took her really.
