These past few months have seemed to be plagued by misfortune for many people.

 

I appreciate that.

I've known this was coming since the cancer returned in September but his wife and my hubby haven't wanted to see the truth.

You know how that goes.

 

Oh man, what a horrible way to go. He has my sympathy.

 

This actually made me want to watch Star Trek.
I probably wont, but your description makes it sound more interesting than anyone else has been able to make it sound.

People either love Enterprise or they hate it, I’m the later although I admit Sub-Commander T'Pol was hot and even hotter on Stargate SG-1 as Ishta

FYI The original Star Trek series is returning to METV at midnight's on Saturday, now that they’ve shown every episode of the original Battlestar Galactica
(which only lasted 1 season) about a thousand times over again.

 

I keep trying to catch all that Space 1999.. its weird but groovy..

Took a lil stroll, stopped by a bakery to get some goodies.
It was raining and I didn't take an umbrella because fuck those. I enjoyed feeling raindrops falling on my skin.

Anyways, I ran into one of my neighbours, this old grumpy spinster lady, and she invited me over for coffee. So I did that. I felt bad saying no because I often say no. I don't really like going to her place, it smells weird and cabbagey, and she has hoarding tendencies. Plus she is really mean and paranoid.
There were biscuits there. Stale, soft and soggy.
But whatever. I lived. I drank coffee. I smiled. I listened when she read me her poem.

And my mom sent me this recipe that is in Turkish and asked me to translate.
So basically, if I don't get much work done today - totally not my fault.

For me Voyager and TNG are without doubt the highlights of Star trek.
Series wise I'd put Discovery on a close 3rd place and Enterprise (with Archer and T'Pol etc) on 4. Never got into the original series and Deep Space Nine to the same extent.

 

I had no idea it was rare for women to say they liked star trek.. My best female friend is the only person I know who loves it, except now she's got her husband (who was my friend before I knew her and he would have said he hated star trek) into it.

Anyway if you heard her description of why it is great, you'd want to watch it.
