Do you believe it sooner when women say it?

I generally assume people are either terribly spoiled with sex when they proclaim in public something like 'i'm dying to get laid. Haven't had sex in 3 weeks!' or just overly dramatic.
It mostly makes sense when they just came out of a situation where they had sex often and regularly. But it seems to me its very common for most people who aren't in a relationship to not have sex for months. Not insane at all. Seriously stating it is insane seems more out of touch with reality. Besides, for some people its about quality above quantity. They might skip an easy opportunity to have casual sex because the chance is big its worse than average sex or not worth the consequences (if its like some friend or even worse an ex). They prefer not to have sex for more than a month if the alternative means settling for some sex they likely don't actually dig. What's weird or insane about that?

Yeah, but do more hesitant (or maybe critical) people really seem insane or weird to you when they do it differently?

There are most likely more people lying about getting laid than not getting laid, also in your friend circle

It's completely normal for me to not have sex for months. I rarely have sex with 2 different people in one month: pretty much never. On average I have sex once in 2 months or less even. I rarely feel deprived in a problematic way
