The Onion Trump Administration Launches Human Rights Investigation Into Senate’s Harsh Treatment Of Mohammad Bin Salman 12/17/18 1:09pm https://politics.theonion.com/trump-administration-launches-human-rights-investigatio-1831153052 "WASHINGTON—Decrying the Senate’s resolution blaming the crown prince for the brutal torture and murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi as “a cruel, inhumane, and unprecedented interference into a sovereign kingdom’s internal affairs,” the Trump administration launched a human rights investigation Monday into the Senate’s harsh treatment of Saudi ruler Mohammad bin Salman. “We are looking into the deeply troubling accusations that the United States Senate has chosen to willfully and knowingly place fault for the murder of a dissident journalist on a Saudi crown prince,” said the president, claiming that no despot should be made to endure such inhumane treatment as the loss of military funding for an ongoing war in Yemen that has left millions homeless and starving, no matter whose dismemberment they may have ordered."
Lynne Patton was essentially the domestic servant of the Trump family. Trump put her in charge of disbursing billions of dollars of HUD money to Trump's area of NY and NJ. Here is the official résumé of the person Trump put in charge of federal housing in New York By Tracy Jan August 18, 2017 https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ew-york/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.cf135fc1b0ef
From my stand-point, it's all about Trump trashing every government agency which was instituted to serve and help and protect the ordinary American. He acts like he wants to destabilize America to the point Russia could do anything it wants. That's odd behavior from a president.
Trump thinks his wall is his biggest problem. Trump Confronts the Prospect of a ‘Nonstop Political War’ for Survival By Peter Baker Jan. 13, 2019 Trump Confronts the Prospect of a ‘Nonstop Political War’ for Survival excerpt: “The reality,” said Andy Surabian, a Republican strategist and former special assistant to Mr. Trump, is “that the next two years are going to be nonstop political war.” The White House has begun recruiting soldiers. The new White House counsel, Pat Cipollone, has hired 17 new lawyers, according to The Post, as he prepares for a barrage of subpoenas from House Democratic committee chairmen. But Mr. Trump’s inner circle has shrunk, and he has fewer advisers around him whom he trusts. His White House chief of staff is still serving in an acting capacity, and the West Wing is depleted by the shutdown. As he himself wrote on Twitter this weekend, “There’s almost nobody in the W.H. but me.”
Currently reading = The Making of Donald Trump, by David Johnston. A real eye-opener. I can see why he has hired 17 additional lawyers!
A video of an interview of Johnston on C-SPAN was posted on page 286 of the thread. The Donald Trump Score Card
So now we know that Trump confiscated the translator's notes taken during his one on one meeting with Vladimir Putin and ordered the translator to remain silent about the meeting. What in hell is he hiding?
Trump Accidentally Exposes the Location, Identities of U.S. Navy Seal Team 5 on Twitter By Matt Stieb Dec. 26, 2018 Trump Accidentally Exposes the Location, Identities of U.S. Navy Seal Team 5 excerpts: "When Trump left Iraqi airspace, he posted a video in which he and the First Lady pause for photos with members of Seal Team 5, decked out in full battle gear and night-vision goggles. As president, it is technically within Trump’s job description to declassify that sort of information, but it does violate protocol designed to keep secret locations of special forces secret." "Nor is it Trump’s first impromptu revelation of national security interests: In April 2017 phone call, Trump told Rodrigo Duterte, the authoritarian president of the Philippines, that the U.S. had sent two nuclear submarines to the waters off the coast of North Korea. And, in May 2017, hours after the dismissal of James Comey, Trump revealed Israeli intelligence assets to the Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, jeopardizing the Israeli-American intelligence link and leaving Mossad “boiling mad and demanding answers.”"
Trump inflames war on Justice Dept. by declassifying Russia docs By Laura Jarrett, Sophie Tatum, Kate Sullivan and Jeremy Herb, CNN Updated 12:14 AM ET, Wed September 19, 2018 Donald Trump inflames war on Justice Dept. by declassifying Russia docs - CNNPolitics excerpt: "Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump showed no signs of backing off his highly unprecedented order to declassify various documents and text messages related to the Russia investigation Tuesday, saying he wants it done for "transparency." The move, which has prompted renewed unease about the increasing politicization of intelligence materials, is likely to further inflame tensions between the President and intelligence and law enforcement officials, who have been the target of presidential Twitter tirades and who have voiced concerns in the past about potentially jeopardizing sources and methods."
Trump tweeted he's excited to visit Nashville — but he's actually going to New Orleans Trump wrote: "Love our farmers, love Tennessee -- a great combination!" By Allan Smith Jan. 14, 2019, 8:25 AM EST Trump tweeted he's excited to visit Nashville — but he's actually going to New Orleans
Sad that you got that from what I said. You can play chess with pigeon and all it will do it shit on the board and claim it has won. You need to feel some love and learn the facts of the world. I am proud of the Demarcates. If Trump was a fit leader there would be no issue. At least he does salute with the coffee in his hand right? He just says he likes people who don't get captured. One of those is a big deal one was not. I wonder why?
Trump's shutdown and trade wars cause farmers to take it twice on the chin for him. Shutdown tests farmers’ loyalty as Trump visits their annual convention By RYAN MCCRIMMON 01/14/2019 01:36 PM EST Updated 01/14/2019 04:36 PM EST Shutdown tests farmers’ loyalty as Trump visits their annual convention excerpt: "Crucial programs that farmers need are also suspended amid the shutdown. Agriculture Department services on hold include rural housing loans and USDA data reports that can affect commodity prices. Other pledges from the Trump administration — such as new initiatives in the just-passed farm bill and trade-relief payments for farmers who haven’t already applied for aid — are also delayed. Meanwhile, Trump’s trade turmoil hasn’t been helping farmers, either. “We have farmers that have loans with the FSA,” said Randy Poskin, a corn and soybean grower from central Illinois who voted for Trump. “If they can’t do that business, that’s going to create problems.”"
Ironic that Trump's relief payments to farmers to try to help them endure the damage caused by his trade war are delayed due to Trump's government shutdown.
The plan the whole time. I saw a few posts in this thread that wanted this as well. 'Senior Trump Official' On Shutdown: 'We Do Not Want Most Employees To Return'
Once when I was trucking a confused driver got his dispatch to take a load to Portland Maine. Instead, he took the load to Portland Oregon. At least the trucker got the first name right?
You know, I am beginning to think that trump is playing all of us. I don't think he wants to be president. He is doing everything he can to fuck over the country while he can. He strikes me as the kind of person that says "I did my job", and walks away. then his supporters will be left holding an empty bag.
I say we give in. Let's fund it. Only if the Democrats give the condition it's named after Obama however. The new Fox talking point is he had walls too so I think it works. Trump will not accept though. I think this would be an interesting social experiment to see the mental gymnastics. All of the sudden the wall is not the right one. Long term it's not meant to exist though it's meant to an idea fought about.
