What's Happening???

All kinds, pretty much anything I enjoy i'll read to him, as long as it isnt inappropriate. I've read Poe, Thomas Dylan, T.S Eliot..those are the ones that come to mind
And Tolkien's Adventures of Tom Bombadil, he enjoys that one
And we do kids poems too, Mother Goose and silly limericks, etc

I really just enjoy reading poetry outloud, i'm not even sure if he really listens to me

When I was trying to stop my dog from getting up on the grass in the backyard I'd place all these forks in the ground with a party popper hooked into the fork and a fishing line between the two forks, whenever he'd get up at night I'd hear *cack cack* and he'd be back near the back door with his ears down pretending he was sleeping.

 

At the time I didn't want to condition him as house living as the norm, so i would keep him outside. Gotta teach dogs boundaires and getting his way all the time doesn't help anybody. He's pretty much inside every night now. Like right now. Sleeping on the couch.

 

We have a cat flap on our back door which he used to use when he was a pup but he grew too big for it after long. He sticks his head through every now and again because he learned how to unlatch the two latches that keep it locked.

We were puppysitting one year, and my dog learned to unlock it to help the other puppy outside. It was really frustrating lol.

 

Watching a few episodes of happy. Was gonna binge it but have work tomorrow.

I just made a to do list for everything I need to do from now until Christmas. I dont usually make lists, I kinda like the challenge of trying to juggle a million balls in my head and waiting until is all said and done to see if i've dropped any.

But I made a list this time and it does make things seem much more manageable and less overwhelming

 

well.. I wound up (unplanedly) with a secondary bin of worms. I had a plastic tub I was going to put some cabbage into that was turning to sauerkraut in one of my worm trays.. accidentally upended the tray into the tub.. said 'screw it, I'm not picking a half legion of worms at 9pm.' so I added some leaves and a bit of compost, wet newspaper on top, and said 'have fun'

and yet... people think I'm weird.
