I had to make a big, long email report to animal control on behalf of my neighborhood group - complete with photos of one of the neighbor's dogs who are terrorizing the neighborhood.

Now, it's time to get off my butt and get ready to go out into the world to pick up the pet food and cat litter.

 

Probably not. Maybe tequila? I'll bring it, but I might not drink it. I find I can have better visits with people if I'm sober.

Yes. It's a Pit Bull and a German Shepherd - Running wild, attacking other animals, charging people and cars.

 

Just ordered my mom's Christmas gifts.

 

I'm surprised somebody hasn't shot them.

 

That's not good at all.

 

They are quick about what they do but one resident almost did shoot the pit bull because the dog had him pinned in his car, jumping on the door.

I have several walks slated for the day. I'm sort of playing catch up now because I've fallen part way off the diet wagon after a bout last week with food poisoning. It's hard to eat right when you're sick! And then to go straight back into it once your better doesn't feel right either. So, I've over eaten now and will feel better about it/thank myself if I walk more than usual. Two walks at least today!

 

The countryside germans as in farmers I met were not rednecky or quaint in any way. They're normal folks, just as much in tune with modern times and culture as city folks.
The more you head to the east of Germany the bigger chance on stereotypical countryside folks as in mullet rocking trailerpark boys in my experience.

Could it be this also differs on where you are in Germany (and the US for that matter)? The north is much better off. But it can't beat places like Wisconsin. The more mountains and hills the less ideal often modern farming is. That's one reason why the Netherlands is so good for it
