I'd definitely choose electric -- I got my first one I think 2 Christmas's ago and I've LOVED having them.

My miss just bought two electrics. I haven't used mine yet. I prefer a firm brush just get in there get it done.

As a general rule I tend to not put electrical devices into my mouth...

so why does every dentist force you to take home a manual brush after every visit? i have 7897 untouched toothbrushes in my bathroom closet right now, if my dentist really cared about my teeth she would just save the money wasted on those and give me a new electric toothbrush every three years.

Manual. I hate the electric ones, the motors always break, and then they become toxic waste. Not to mention, using one feels like brushing your teeth with a sex toy.

ok, so it's basically a "you throw this away for me" situation.

well you still have to brush, it just does a better job when you do.

I don't think I ever got one from my dentist.
I would love to! I replace them every three to four weeks. It'd be nice to have a lil stash, so I don't even have to think about it.

All I ever got from my dentist was a mini toothpaste.

I think I already answered this thread....I use both manual and electric, depends on how I feel.

I found that I couldn't resist the urge to brush despite the motors or what have you when I had an electric. I buy manual about once or twice a year.
