Imagine Donald Trump During a Financial Crisis Back in 2009, the G-20 put together a $1 trillion fiscal stimulus to steady the world economy. The same multilateralism may not prevail in the next emergency. By Ferdinando Giugliano November 29, 2018, 2:30 AM EST Bloomberg - Are you a robot? excerpt: "There’s a cloud hovering over the G-20 meeting of global leaders, which starts in Buenos Aires on Friday. The world economy is slowing, threatening an end to the long recovery from the financial crisis. The markets share some of these fears. Global equities suffered a heavy selloff this fall as investors started to weigh the risk of recession in the next year or two. These concerns raise an important question among aficionados of a multilateral world: If the economy entered a new downturn, would national leaders — in the age of U.S. President Donald Trump — be able to orchestrate a global response? The obvious precedent is the G-20 summit in London in 2009, when participants put together a $1 trillion package of fiscal stimulus that helped avoid a more cataclysmic downturn." "My main worry lies elsewhere. It would be a huge surprise if Trump wasn’t the biggest hold-out. His disdain for multilateralism is already undermining the rather shaky effectiveness of G-20 summits and has left the global economy on the brink of a trade war. If that’s how he acts during a recovery, imagine a crisis." .
‘Individual 1’: Trump emerges as a central subject of Mueller probe by Carol D. Leonnig and Josh Dawsey November 29 at 7:56 PM https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ory.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.7b9f848297da excerpt: "But Tim O’Brien, a Trump biographer and frequent critic, said the developments pose significant new challenges for the president. “This is part of the fact pattern that gets to the heart of whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin during the campaign,” O’Brien said. “I think the unforgiving grinding force of the U.S. justice system, which he has tried to undermine since he became president, is encircling him. I don’t think we know where he will land. But he is certainly mired in something that he is ill-equipped, legally and personally, to handle.” Some legal experts argued Mueller appears to be drawing a picture of a candidate who was beholden to the Kremlin. Emails released in the Cohen plea show Trump seeking a financial endorsement from the Russian government on a private project while Russian President Vladimir Putin was offering to say flattering things about Trump. “It creates the potential for Trump to feel an obligation to pay back President Putin, or Russia in general that . . . do not put the best interests of American forward.” Kopp said. “You are creating a potential vulnerability for a future leader of America.”"
What Cohen’s Deal Means for Trump We can expect even bigger bombshells — and White House threats against Mueller — in the coming weeks. By Barry Berke, Noah Bookbinder and Norman Eisen Nov. 29, 2018 Opinion | What Cohen’s Deal Means for Trump excerpt: "Mr. Trump’s allies will try to dismiss the significance of Mr. Cohen’s cooperation, pointing out that he has now confessed to multiple crimes in two separate actions. But as any experienced legal practitioner knows, the government almost always relies on cooperators to make their case against their criminal cohorts. Often the best way of learning about, and proving, criminal activity is by working with those involved in that activity, unsavory as they may be. Plus, the documents filed Thursday quote extensively from emails that are almost certainly in the special counsel’s possession, which corroborates the belief that Mr. Cohen has come clean about his Russia dealings. Mr. Cohen’s plea is also significant because it represents the first charge that Mr. Mueller is known to have pursued for false statements before Congress. Though other Trump associates, like George Papadopoulos, Rick Gates and Michael Flynn, also pleaded guilty for false statements, those were all made to investigators. A multitude of other Trump associates who gave testimony before Congress — such as Roger Stone and Donald Trump Jr. — now have additional reasons to worry about Mr. Mueller’s next moves."
The offices of Ed Burke in Chicago have been raided by federal agents for unstated reasons and the headquarters of Deutsche Bank has been raided by investigators regarding a money laundering investigation. Although they may not have stemmed from any behavior of Trump, they are bad news for him nonetheless. Burke worked on property value assessments for Trump for many years and Trump has relied increasingly on foreign money sources such as Deutsche after he created thorny relationships with U.S. banks. There is always the chance of incidental facts about Trump being revealed by such raids. Burke's constituents in the Chicao area are predominantly Hispanic. Burke may have realized that being associated with Trump was not in his best political interests and it may have been part of why he stopped working with Trump in May 2018. Federal agents mysteriously raided a Chicago politician and former Trump attorney’s office Deutsche Bank raided over money laundering
Search warrants are granted by the court after law enforcement officers affirm a document requisitioning the authority based upon probable cause. In plain English, there is reason to believe evidence related to a criminal investigation is inside that office.
The Trump administration has started printing numbers on the arms of the Honduran and Guatemalan immigrants. CNN has reported the number of children held separate from their parents is now 14000 or more.
Do you have a source for this? I dont mind verifying it myself but you say a lot of things I cant verify from any source
It was an article on yahoo news yesterday titled, "Migrants Take A Number" and the pics show their arms with the 4 digit numbers. I saw 1173 and 1175. Trump & Pence must be trying to impress Hitler!
Those that want to impeach Trump need to remember that in the unlikely event he were convicted, Pence, a fundamentalist pos, would become president and would certainly pardon Trump. It would be better to give the voters a chance to replace Trump in the next election. He could still be charged violating the law (if in fact he did) but would be unlikely to be pardoned by a Democrat president.
But maybe not their Evangelical base. They don't take kindly to putting numbers on people's bodies. Shades of the Antichrist!
I never said it was their evangelical base. Okie? I think it is their neo-Nazi upscale membership in the Trump White House who decided to insult the Hispanic people and everyone else on this earth. Mike Pence might have had a word or two in the process. Pence is one serious case of KKK leadership power.
That's true, just pointing out hat he can still be removed from office even if not convicted of a crime.
