What's Happening???

I speak (aka get by in ) 5 languages.

 

That's pretty impressive. I've tried to learn a few but I never got anywhere I'm kind of in the same boat as I can get by with some, but I always revert back to Deutsch and luckily around Europe, they can get by in that lol.

I have always wanted to learn Icelandic or Norwegian but I really have no use for them, Polish, I put that in the "too hard basket".

I classify the English into 3 categories which I can speak. Fair Dinkum' aiiight? English, AustraloEnglish and American English.

I can read old Deutsch, haven't really tried to speak it. I know Austrian also uses Deutsch but I throw in I can speak Austrian so I sound more cultured. I've been known to roll with Prussian too. actually I declared myself to be Prussian at some point in my life during high school. I remember a friend said I was, so we just ran with that for a while.

Well wehn I speak English I sound English just with a soft voice, it gets loud under influence.

I don't try and sound German, I just know how to speak it so I sound German. whereas my miss whe she tries doesn't know how to roll the R's as much so she sounds like she's speaking German in English.

I can pull of the English/German accent too though honestly I feel it's very stereotypical. Makes people laugh though but the way to make it work is to use words you know will sound funny, which isn't how I talk, which is why I mean it is stereotypical to me.
