Only 5-6 times probably. I know I have been arrested for DUI 3 times yet it never sticks. I have some medical issues and of course cops swear I am drunk. Each time get a lawyer to make it go away. Even with 0% blood alcohol it's tough since the word of a cop goes a long way even with no evidence.

A few times when I was younger I just did not pull over since I realized the cop probably radared me at well over 100 MPH so why stop when I know I can outrun him. It was on the highway with no other cars and I will full of male arrogance. By the time he can get his car going I am a long way away and his car tops out like 70 MPH under what I can do and if he tries to turn he will crash with his heavy American car. He can not catch me unless he gets a chopper.

Despite this I have a very clean driving record. I feel lucky to have not crashed now. The Fast and the Furious movies makes the life seem cool.

Pulled over once for speeding when I first got my lisence. I knew I was done straight away so I had already pulled over for the police. They went leniant on me for this and took the fine down to the first degree level. The moment I made it back into town I went to the post office to pay it. About 3 years later I got a speeding ticket again but from a camera van. This was about 13 years ago now, I've never been done for anything again.

I do not speed around, I remember I was late for work was my last fine that 13 years ago. That is only reason. I believe I'm a courteous person on the road. I don't race around, I have a Ford Ranger so there's no use is trying to fly around.

after reading this thread, i'm starting to seriously question things. i've been pulled over 20-30+ times easily. hell, i've been through more dui checkpoints than the number of times half of you have been pulled over, in more years of driving than me. even delivering pizzas i was probably pulled over 5 or 6 times, without ever once doing anything illegal (at least not that they saw).

i actually have a fairly clean driving record; i usually don't get cited for anything when pulled over. i've been cited several times, just not nearly as many times as i was pulled over and not cited. i just thought it was normal to get pulled over all the damn time whether you're doing anything wrong or not.

DUI checkpoints here work more like toll booths, they don't pull you over, unless they suspect you're intoxicated, they just slow the traffic on the road and briefly talk to you.

various things, i don't know if there's really a usual. speeding a couple times when i was young and stupid (those ones were definitely legit). running a stop sign a couple times, one of them i did run it, the other i came to a complete stop and then pulled out to be almost hit by a cop speeding around a curve, who decided to make up a stop sign violation for me i guess because he was freaked out by his near miss. one time, no joke, i got pulled over because a kid was on the sidewalk and i didn't slow down while driving past him. once while i was delivering pizzas i was pulled over by the gang unit; he never explained why he pulled me over, just talked to me for a while and then let me go. and so on like that.

yeah that's basically been my experience. it's not like you have to get out of the car or anything. but they do have it set up so that every car has to pull over to the side to talk to the cops for a few minutes, so i do count it as being pulled over.

i suppose i am pretty dark by the end of summer. early summer i'm usually quite red.

I've been pulled over twice in the 23 years I've been driving. Once when I was 16. The last time in 2015. I was going 9 over the speed limit both times and got warnings both times. *knock on wood* I've never gotten a ticket.

In 25 years of driving only pulled over twice.

Pulled over once locally (given a warning) and on I-93 north New Hampshire State Police (told me to slow down
after seeing the hiking/camping equipment in the backseat)

I have been pulled over more than a couple of times including Costa Rica. We were going 1km over the limit. Threatened us with fines in excess of $1000, usd. But because it was valentines day he was only going to charge us $40. I wanted to negotiate this price but my friend yelled at me to shut up and gave him the 40. I thought everything was negotiable in Central America, why not a BS fine. I will say this event was worth the $40, we have retold the story hundreds of times.

    No one was hurt.

    I was so drunk. I blew a .23

That first DUI was when I was 19 and the second one was when I was 20. I can recall them as vividly as I ever did; I'm surprised that I forgot them when I first replied here.
