Trump is frustrated that the violence he helped spawn with his divisive midterm campaign spoiled the momentum of his midterm campaign. He wants his brinkmanship tactic to create a deep resentment toward all the groups and people he hates but just below the point where people send mail bombs and commit mass killings that spoil his campaign that includes rhetoric such as praising a politician for body-slamming a journalist.. His tariff war is similar. He takes trade policy to the brink but then becomes frustrated when other countries retaliate with tariffs. He labeled China as vicious for retaliating with tariffs that damage his political base, and he portrayed himself as an innocent victim of his own tactics. A tariff-damaged, distraught U.S. farmer who goes on a shooting spree would spoil his trade war. Trump fumes after mail bomber ‘interrupts’ his campaign message A failed terrorist in Florida succeeds in overshadowing the president's message, to Trump's annoyance. By BEN SCHRECKINGER and GABBY ORR 10/26/2018 05:57 PM EDT Trump fumes after mail bomber ‘interrupts’ his campaign message excerpt: "Trump had already vented his frustration on Friday morning, tweeting, “Republicans are doing so well in early voting, and at the polls, and now this ‘Bomb’ stuff happens and the momentum greatly slows - news not talking politics. Very unfortunate, what is going on. Republicans, go out and vote!” What’s worse, Trump’s allies had been speculating without evidence that the failed bombings — which exclusively targeted Trump antagonists — were actually part of a “false flag” leftist plot to make Republicans look unhinged. Instead, Florida police arrested a man, Cesar Sayoc, who appears to be an unhinged Republican partisan. Photos showed Sayoc’s white van covered in pro-Trump and anti-CNN stickers."
The aftermath of the elections next week could be a real test of our democracy. If the Dems retake the House, as seems likely, I'd expect Trump and Congressional Republicans to make a move on the Mueller investigation before the newly elected Dems take their seats in January. And that will involve some wild west action--e.g., appointing Lindsey Graham as Attorney General, firing Rod Rosenstein, trying to bury any report, etc. And it could all be legal, but outrageous. The Dems might treat this as obstruction of justice, include it in their articles of impeachment after they take office, and struggle to make Mueller's information public. Then see how long Trump's base can contain itself. Exciting times!
Trump supporters have mailed another package to the guy who is running the TV ads calling impeachment for Trump.
Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O' Donald reported the UNSEALING of a Watergate report which they said described how Leon Jaworski delivered his to Congress. It was described as a method which Mueller could deliver his report to Congress. I hope it will result in Trump and his entire organized crime family being awarded their own private rooms in the iron bar hotel.
But Trump is an honest liar. He only lies to convince others of his truthfulness. No one knows more about honest lying than Trump.
It's another opportunity for Trump to whine that it derailed his midterm campaign. He can once again praise the police and ask them to solve the crime quickly so that he can manipulate the media to return to his regularly scheduled xenophobic midterm campaign narrative of diseased migrants of potential Middle Eastern background, building of detention tent cities for migrants, sending 15,000 active U.S. military troops to the border and telling them to shoot migrants if necessary, refusing asylum, and ending birthright citizenship. New suspicious package addressed to CNN discovered at Atlanta post office
If all the Republicans would just go away and live some where else, in their own racially separated area! Maybe then we could clean up the oceans, the toxic dumps in our land, restore civil rights to our people, fund our children's schools, provide medical care to ones who don't have it, provide free food to the hungry, provide shelter for the homeless, and protect the endangered animals and the forests.
No tax cut this year. That means Trump will probably resort to stirring up even more mass hysteria about immigrants in the last few days before midterm elections and promise a middle class tax cut in 2019. Trump, top House Republican admit there's no chance of a middle class tax cut this year By Donna Borak, CNN Updated 11:00 AM ET, Fri November 2, 2018 Trump, Brady admit no chance of middle class tax cut this year - CNNPolitics excerpt: "(CNN) President Donald Trump and the top Republican tax-writer in Congress, House and Ways Means Chair Kevin Brady of Texas, conceded on Wednesday there was zero chance that middle-class Americans will see their taxes cut this year. It was the first time the White House had returned to a last-ditch campaign promise since the President made the pledge at a rally in Nevada almost two weeks ago. The statement effectively closed the door on any chance of pushing through a tax cut this year."
On another forum, I got into a religious debate with a trump supporter. I asked him how, as a christian, he could support trump. His response was that no man is perfect. I said that if man is made in god's image, then god is imperfect. He started getting upset. I then asked him about abortion. I said what right does a man have to tell a woman what to do with her body? His response was that as long as a man impregnates a woman, the man dictates what happens to the woman's body. i then said adios.
In any other incarnation, in any other normal reality Trump would be lambasted and hated by his own supporters instead they still worship him despite his sick racist beliefs Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, said in an interview published Friday that he has heard the president use racist language in one-on-one conversations on multiple occasions over the years. Cohen said Trump questioned the intelligence of black people, said black leaders can only run "shithole" cities and countries and called a former Apprentice contestant a "black fag." Cohen told the magazine that during the 2016 presidential election, Cohen told Trump during a meeting in Trump Tower that his rally at the time looked "looked vanilla" on TV, meaning white. Trump responded, "That's because black people are too stupid to vote for me."
Trump Ramps Up Migrant Attacks, Says Soldiers Can Shoot Migrants | Democracy Now! i have a very bad feeling that this is going to end badly
He was on the news walking that one back. He says he never said it, but then they play a clip of him saying "if they throw rocks" something about treat it as though they're shooting. But the more recent soundbite is about arresting and not shooting. He gets away with saying too much.
Nigerian army posts Trump video to justify shooting protesters Defence spokesman says army posted Trump video after criticism that it used weapons against peaceful Shia Muslims Agence France-Presse in Abuja Fri 2 Nov 2018 12.30 EDT First published on Fri 2 Nov 2018 12.03 EDT https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...p-rock-is-a-rifle-comment-to-justify-shooting protesters excerpt: "Nigeria’s army has posted a video of Donald Trump saying soldiers would shoot migrants throwing stones to justify opening fire on a group of Shia protesters this week. “Please watch and make your deductions,” said the army in a post on its official Twitter account. In the video, the US president warns that soldiers deployed to the Mexican border could shoot Central American migrants who threw stones at them while attempting to cross illegally. "“We’re not going to put up with that. They want to throw rocks at our military, our military fights back,” said Trump on Thursday. “I told them [troops] consider [a rock] a rifle. When they throw rocks like they did at the Mexican military and police, I say consider it a rifle.”"
The two-year anniversary of Trump's election is approaching and his animosity hasn't changed. With charity for none and malice to all: Donald Trump, The Sore Winner Trump gets no respect. That’s because he hasn’t earned it. By Dana Milbank January 16, 2017 https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...ory.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.307c7dbfec65 excerpt: "Instead of brushing off criticism, as a president-elect can afford to do, Trump in recent days marked Martin Luther King weekend by telling off civil rights icon John Lewis (a King acolyte) and his “falling apart” and “crime infested” congressional district. He bemoaned “Saturday Night Live” spoofs as a “hit job” and used the words “crap” and “sleazebag” in his public statements. He called the top Democrat in the land the “head clown” and accused the American intelligence community of acting like Nazis. He responded to criticism from Meryl Streep by calling her an “over-rated” actress and a “Hillary flunky who lost big.” He likewise cheered that his “Celebrity Apprentice” replacement Arnold Schwarzenegger got “swamped” in ratings compared with “the ratings machine, DJT. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary.” Trump said the Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee is discussed only because “the loss by the Dems was so big that they are totally embarrassed!” The losers often have hard feelings after elections. But this much enmity from the winner is extraordinary. Trump, after his election-night promise to “bind the wounds of division” and be a “president for all Americans,” never attempted reconciliation. A day later, he falsely condemned “professional protesters, incited by the media,” and at year end he taunted opponents via Twitter: “Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!”"
