I don't have any orange string lights for Halloween...Damn it.

 

I don't do anything for Halloween. I don't even know what date it is. All I see is the merchandise in the shop, and then the kids dressed up at night in their spooky costumes, trick or treating, thankfully accompanied by an adult or two. But the main thing is if it's fun and enjoyable, then do it.

 

Halloween is October 31st.

I've always loved it.

Now, I stay home and give out candy but I always do some simple decorating and put on some kind of simple costume.

Mostly, the people that come to my house are bringing little kids so I don't do anything scary.

I'll have a fire in my pit and stay outside so I'm not opening the door and letting cats and dogs in and out.

I can barely get my grandkids to stop by here because the big neighborhoods are "where it's at!".

I get jealous listening to all the screams and laughter from neighboring streets.

The upside is, I only have to buy candy for about 30 kids.
