What's Happening???

The Hare Krishnas are generally quite nice and harmless. But there was a sex scandal involving them in the UK some years back. And I hate sex scandals. I've read quite a lot of their material and although pretty wacky it's pleasant enough. The true practioners just want to be kind to animals, chant and be jolly. I find the Krishna mantra very boring though. It drives me up the wall. So not for me really but it was nice trip.

 

I don't know how Mishka puts up with Masha.

That sounds like a fun day though.

My nephew took me to a cemetery once, it was fun. I had to read everything to him.
And then we also squished some mushrooms.

Thanksgiving is a little over a month from now. Wasn't it just spring?

I don't work a nine-to-five so my life is like a permanent holiday. But I need a holiday from the holiday.

Nope. They will do ceremonies on the Sunday, but otherwise the 11th is a normal day.

 

We do a bank holiday the first Monday after what we call Veterans Day. Same holiday, different name. This year will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the war. You'd think it would be a bigger than normal event this year, but, nope.

 

As Rene Magritte said, I hate feelings of obligatory happiness.
