I think the favorite slippers we ever had were my son's Snork slippers. He was about 2 years old and the shoes had the yellow boy Snork head on the front of them. They were awesome. I'm pretty sure he had some Papa Smurf slippers, too but the Snorks were my favorite.

I don't know yet. Re-reading Remarque has put in the mind for some history. I was watching this thing the other day that drew parallels between silent German expressionism the psychology of the war and the reaction to it.

Also, the only 20th century writer that can tackle similar anti-war themes as well as Remarque is Vonnegut, and I can't seem to find my copy of Slaughterhouse Five. Plus, being October and all, I'm in the mood for something scary as well.
