It was a nice novelty I guess. But not something I'd want to drink too often.

I had the coffee and it was meh...just ok.

Getting ready to work out soon, then going out later to buy a few tee shirts and another pair of yoga pants.

I do not think I am going to school next semester.
i am missing whole chunks of my son's life because I have to spend my nights and weekends on the computer or in a book, and it is quite depressing
and now I have a good job making the salary I want, and i'm not hungry for it anymore.
i'll go back again when my son is older and wants to spend his free time with his friends.
i'll never get these years back when he's young and actually enjoys my company.
well that's all, back to the books.

You're awesome. My mom got pregnant with me while she was in college. She dropped out. Raised me. Then contiuned her education 17 years later. She put her life and education on hold to be my mom.

I don't think I've ever properly thanked her for that. Anyway, moms awesome. Yourself included.

I'm in the exact same boat but without kids. I'm disappointed I sold my car because of my job but I guess I don't drive it much anymore anyway. Had some big time soul searching this week and I figure yeah the money is good, the experience probably better, but it's not what I want to do.

I want to go back to my old work without the pay again. I miss those guys, I miss the new people you meet and the tourists. I miss taking folks horse riding. I miss the horses. I miss managing my team and I miss the people. Tonez and lil Vic.

So I'm off to see my old boss when I get back. He always said I could come back when I wanted.

In all truth my old boss was never comfortable with me managing the place for no pay so when he helps me get this job he was trying to set me up. I'm appreciative of that but it's just not necessary. I'd rather spend 12hrs a week with my friends than managing site contracts and dropping off stationary to suits in an office.

I won't get to pinch as much stationary lol. I'm a bit nervous they'll be disappointed with my decision to leave but like what's the worst they can do? Be angry at me? Yell at me? I don't know. Eeep.

  12. Awesome.
I think I would do that too.

Well obviously not school, because I'm done with that...but just making sure I don't miss out.

I think if someone decides to have a kid (or even if it just happens) - do it properly, and be there.

If you haven't told your mom that, you probably should.

Not to pry, but I know there was some misinformation in regards to her health. How is she doing?

She's good, thanks for asking. Cancer was definitively ruled out. She has to have one more minor surgery in December then everything should be back to normal for her.

Thinking about how most of you guys don't treat me any differently even when I have a breakdown. You're a cool bunch.

My 19 yo son comes home from college later today.

He graduated in 2017, but took a gap year. His senior year is when his dad moved to NY state and lots of emotions for him. He applied to colleges, half-heartily.

He worked for a year and admitted it was the best thing for him. He learned about work ethic and what the workplace is all about. (He worked at one of the busiest restaurants in our area).

This summer I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Surgery was scheduled on his first day of classes. I would not have expected him to miss class (he is 5 hours away).

I know it has been hard for him to have things going on here. He is very protective of me and his brother. When we hugged goodbye he hugged me so tight, kissed my cheek several times—-we were both crying.

So yep—that is what is happening! My son will be home for a few days!!!!!
