I don't like how Britain is turning into America.

 

I hate the nasal twang.

 

Any farmer who takes even the most minute amount of pride in what he or she grows won't have a problem showin' others how he does it.

 

I know for a fact that is put too simply.

 

The Clash's self-titled debut album is much better than London Calling.

I like the southern accent like Dolly Parton. When I was in Tennessee I was ordering KFC in Bristol and this real yokel kid was taking the order. I could not understand a word he was saying so I just smiled and nodded.

It was hopeless too, worst KFC ever. Figured we must be near Kentucky so it had to be good right?

Right??

yeah I was in the part of TN where Dolly is from earlier this summer and their accents are really charming

i guess all southern accents aren't bad. But some of them are just ..ugh.

 

I know someone with a pretty cool American accent.

 

I suspect for the majority of punk purists that's not an unpopular opinion.

However it's not as shocking as if you would have said Sandinista.

 

Sandinista is a good album too. Not as good as their self titled album though. To me, that's the best punk album of all time. But most of what the Clash gave us was great.

Except for Combat Rock...

Bit like people who say Germans always sound angry. I don't sound angry, I'm soft and sweet I don't roll my R's or get the angry tone. Like maybe the whole arckk noise, but that's the language lol.

Since I learn to speak English I have a habit of speaking out words rather than with the correct accent so my accent is sometimes confusing. I'll be in a conversation and if they look at me confuddled I'll be like.. Oh yeah.. And start the accent. This is because my miss only speaks English and pretty much the whole town does too being tourism so every menu and everything is generally in English as well.

Until I can get her to learn Deutsch I'll probably have my mixed accent.

 

Love it!

 

It has it's moments but the whole triple album thing was a bit overly ambitious.

While we're on the topic, London Calling is the best double album ever made.
