Well said, Asmo. I think this topic is interesting and important. It is essential (especially on a free speech forum) for for people to state truths and opinions that are uncomfortable for others to hear and think about. We don’t need an echo chamber of frilly cookie cutter opinions becauce some folks can’t refrain from ad hominem attacks.

 

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Opinions? I'd rather have onions.

I try, but I know that at best, I'm a minimally harmful parasite. ideally I'd like to reach a point of symbiosis, but I'm just as bad as the rest of humanity. I have no illusions that I'm a saint.

If someone can’t debate and entertain an idea, then that is their problem. I have never heard a bright and effective debator get down and dirty with their opponent, no matter how personally offensive the topic.
