Well, the wind is slowing down and the rain has stopped for us at the moment. I will go check out some of the aftermath of Florence a little later. Mostly a small amount of downed trees and knocked over wood fences is all the damage I see in the neighborhood.

 

I stayed off the social media for hours after the race and I have 6 people saying the same thing

We just went out for lunch on a date, was heaps fun. we didn't book anywhere so we couldn't get anywhere so we had to mix and match foods that we could get lol. Ended up being really fun.

 

This is how I would be, i've always wanted to do jury duty, seems fun. But of course because i'm one of the few people who actually wants to do it, i've never been called. Much to my chagrin.

 

Yeah. I can pretty much Max the graphics out in replay mode, but when I race I have them toned down somewhat because let's say the track I just raced at, Indianapolis, there nothing on the back stretch so you gain a ton of framerate. And then you come down the front stretch and it's a concrete canyon and huge grandstands that throw shadows everywhere. That's what kills your framerate and its not nice when the frames drop from 80 down to 50 there's a distinct quality loss that may get you in a wreck because when the frame drops, and you're doind 210mph into a corner, time over distance etc. You might break 0.3 secs later than normal because your frame rate just dropped and you missed your mark. And that 0.3 seconds could mean the different between making the corner and banging the wall.

So I turn all the tricky shadows off, the cars generate their own shadow, but I turn off the option for that shadow to move as the car goes around the race track. At the end of the day I realised it does nothing for me but look good. So on replay mode I crank it because m not driving and I can get the good realistic screenshots.

I still need a better PC. My PC cannot run my card to its potential so it bottlenecks. I made that same mistake 10 years ago and seemingly forgot about it and made the same mistake again lol.

 

Please take a ball of wool or a bread with you so you can leave crumbles behind and retrack your steps! And report here afterwards so we know you managed to get out...

 

I'm so glad I can't be subjected to a jury of fellow citizens here...! But yeah, if I would be I would want people like Pete and Meli in it!

My yearning for duty has gone to the wayside. I'm jinxing my chances by hoping the jury letter is in the mail soon someday.

I have to switch my juju. I have to be thinking more like this:

I showed up for jury duty about this time last year, only to find out that I missed the call that it was cancelled and we weren't needed. I was happy
