I can't count the number of my brethren (older and younger both) that I've given a swat upside the back of the head and been like 'boy. mind your manners.' I get away with being a dirty, lecherous old pervert by not being a complete sleazebag about it. I might shamelessly flirt, or even say things that're totally unprintable.. but I'm also the first to step up if a girl feels threatened. Most guys (not all, but most) have no idea where the line in the sand is between flirty and creepy. (hell, I sometimes miss it, but I at least say 'oops' you know?)

and about that human connection.. I totally agree. we all need someone to connect with, in all the ways people need to connect, and it seems the world's more interested in causing separations than connections.

 

that's fair enough. I tend to attract 'wounded birds' and gods help me, it's so hard to not say no, even though I know I'm gonna wind up burned out by the time they're healed up.
