What's Happening???

I was getting ready to cook my steak under the broiler. I put the steak on the pan, seasoned it, forgot I'd preheated the pan, grabbed it, cussed, dropped the steak and the pan in the floor...and cussed lots more.

I rinsed it and put it in the broiler again.

My potential client wants me to design a label for her medical marijuana lotions and body oils.

She is a start-up business and has not done this kind of packaging and selling of products before. Having worked for clients who are barely starting out, I find these kinds of clients very frustrating to work with. They are usually all over the place, and inconsistent with their business plan, they are often disorganized, and lack money to pay me what I am worth.

She has offered to trade my graphic designing and branding, for cooking lessons. To hell with that; I need real money, and I'm going broke.

However, today's job interview went really well. If I get it and hold onto it, all my problems will be over.

Finally reading a Buffy fan fiction my girlfriend has been raving about. Fanfictions really aren't my thing because they aren't canon and that bugs me, and most of the people who write them can't write for shit. There's tons of typos in this one but at least the story is good. This is what I get for making her watch Gossip Girl with me.

I didn't sleep at all. This place seemed pretty crazy last night, or was it just me. I come here because I have few people to talk to, about stuff that interests me. But I think I need a break.

Had a nice little preview of fall these last couple of days with cool and dry conditions, but unfortunately the heat and humidity will soon return.

NECN reported a few low temperatures in Northern Maine in the upper 30s so yeah, fall is just around the corner.

 

I don't know how can people even eat in this heat.

 

ugh.. I am so not a hot weather creature. give me mountains and snow any day. and I'm in texas. (makes face)

 

I'm not a fan of snow. It's nice if you can just chill at home by the fire and watch LOTR or something. And watch the snow.
But in cities snow quickly turns into this dirty wet thing :-/

Fun fact: Zagreb was voted the best Christmas market in Europe for the third time in a row...just saying, if someone's looking for a place to visit...yall know who you are

i cant stand walking around the house with wet or damp shoes hey, it feels so unclean to me. i cringe. hearing those specs of dirt crunch on my wood floors.
