yeah, that's actually one of the roots for the ban on pork in certain cultures. In those days there was a lot of tribal infighting... and well.. if someone could carve up a body and sell it as pork, well.. easy way to hide a murder, and it's hard to bury them if you've got people scavenging them up off the battlefield. not to mention that whole 'misleading people into cannibalism' thing. (and aside from there's a fair few things that can cross over from badly raised pork to humans, especially since they're as much omnivores as the humans are...)
