Well I won't be getting the cat until I no longer have the indoor bunny. I'm not sure if I should make a enclosure for him outside or movie him into the garage or what to do. I like him inside because he's so cute and fragile, but I would also like the house back it's like The Others in here, no door can be opened without it being closed lol.

Congrats Noserider! I agree with Meliai. I'd want a simple one but my partner has a big family and an opinionated mother. I'm sure she wouldn't let us do it our way without giving us her disapproving look at every turn. Maybe eloping is best lol just have a party when it's over and invite us!

The way I see it though, is if the people with all these opinions aren't paying for your wedding, they have no say. Aside from the dietary restriction thing, if it's because of an allergy or health reason. Otherwise just have a salad bar and the vegans can have that lmao

in that case, you can do the same with the dog and the cat, rub each other's smell all over them both, (and a drop of vanilla extract too if you want)

See...your dog is big..cat is little....cat might hiss and scratch and excite the dog and get him riled up, and do what a dog always does...even if trying to play.....see,the thing with cats is that they are not easily trained...they are who they are.....and wouldn't you be upset beyond belief if you fell in love with your cat and then something happened to it?

I don't mean to sound like that is what would happen...but I look ahead and think of all possible worse case scenarios..That is what I do....and will you be there all of the time to monitor?

With the rabbits. I've had to stop myself from going to pet stores. I see myself as a liberator. They have room, food, water and obstacles for the pens I've made. They have a good home with me. Seeing a cute rabbit at the store, I just get saddened that it might go to a home with a basic hutch and that's not the life they need. I also think sometimes I should let mine go, but being domesticated to a degree I don't like their chances on their own in the wild, so I see myself as their protector for their little noses. :)

I know. It's pure heresy. I should probably get around to it.

Well my dog isn't an indoor dog, so if I'm not at home he's not inside. So no trouble there. And I know what you're saying. There's a reason I don't have a cat yet and this is all just discussions.

see.. that's me with cats. I give them climbing, and running, and obstacles, and fuzzy toys to hunt, and food toys to figure out for problem solving.

I had a GS dog, but got him as a little baby...and I had cats at the time....and i monitored everything....I made my poor dog scared to even say boo...lol...same with my cats...every day...if they looked at the birds here, they better watch it...It took a long time.but they finally got it....so basically everyone lives in peace here..but that was hours and days and months of hard work..

My tone of voice...How did I get my pugs to follow me home after wanting to run to my neighbor's yard after a strange dog that could kill them?

After 8 years here with me..they know when I am serious and better listen.

Yeah, keep them physically and mentally stimulated. My cats always at least understand the word 'No' as well.

@McFuddy reminds me of last night... roommate's cat walks in, looks up at me eating 'mrerw' 'no.' 'rer?' 'no.' mwao?' 'because it has mushrooms, that's why. you hate mushrooms. and besides, I've told you about begging.' 'merow.' and he turns and walks out.
