Lost a damn lamb today. Was showin' the tourists around & noticed him layin' flat in the grass. Got in there & he was twitchin' & just layin' there. Gut bulgin' to twice the normal size. Hauled his ass into the barn but put food & water right in front of his face but he wouldn't eat or drink. Passed away bout thirty minutes ago. Had to dig a grave. Reckon somethin' ruptured in there, some organ. What got me was the damn kids I live & work with just laughed it off, cracked fuckin' jokes. Show some goddamn respect......that was a fuckin' life.

Actually I could probably shark cage dive in Perth too, but I think from previous research SA was better and bigger sharks. :)

I'm going to be the only one who takes the dogs side aren't I? Though, I've lost a number of rabbits to mine. Fucken asshole dogs.

Where I live is frowned upon to have a cat that's out doors because they kill native birds and wild life. In some parts of the state I actually think I've heard it being illegal, I don't think it's that's far here yet but we rarely ever see outside cats. It's a 20/20. I get the point, but trying to restrain a cat to indoor only can't be healthy? If if wants to be outside.

We need to know the full sorry before placing blame. :) sometimes it might not be the owner or the dog.

true enough. I'm just used to living in an area with feral packs, and people just letting their dogs run off leash.
I've seen more than my fill of bad owners to head for that assumption first.

    Fair enough Irm.

I always kept my cats indoor too. They don't need to be running around killing shit and getting hit by cars anyway.

Oh yeah I understand tbh I think Shepherd owners have a responsibility where they can't be allowed to just be out on their own. They're so movement driven that if it's out and it sees a cat or a dog it's giving chase.

We're legally bound to tattoo, chip and leash them. Parks are fine but can't just let em off leash. All others dogs are seemingly fine. Since ours isn't desexed it's even more paramount.

But I was more saying like, of a cat gets into my backyard and he gets it, well that's not our fault as owners or the dogs fault looking after his yard.

yeah, totally agree. if the cat invades territory, well, all bets are off. mainly round here, it's just 'go, run around, do whatever, dog'

two years ago I had to kill a pitbull in my front yard because it made a go at me. (I was out using a hand axe to trim some brush)

it was a stray that someone had turned loose to just roam around, and then they moved off. (crack smoking individuals). I mean fuck, there were kids in the neighborhood.

that's what I mean by 'bad owner'. they'd docked its ears and tail too, and we both know 'why'

My cats have always been indoor only cats... They tend to live longer, have less disease or injury, and are quite content never going outside.
