Before, not sure if it was this thread, you mentioned you had made learning Arabic a goal.

Did you get the chance to start that yet? If so, hows it going? What method/materials are you using?

 

Thinking I need to reevaluate the list.

I’ve been wanting to take a class but I also have a couple of Muslim friends who have asked if they could teach me, I’ve picked up a few things here and there from them, but actually teach me is what I need. And want.

Random fact about me, a few years ago I was interested in potentially converting to Islam (but too many things to name that turned me off) and they offered their help for me to learn the prayers in Arabic. I will say this, Islam has a beauuuutiful prayer life, imo.

I can understand the allure of Islam. It really does have a deep and rich spirituality.

Definitely. I’m sure there’s Muslims who cherry pick what they like out of the Qur’an like Christians do with the Bible.

I don’t take issue with that. I know very few religious fundies.
