The Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary "If I Leave Here Tomorrow" will debut next month on Showtime. One of the interviews will feature former Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle. Pyle survived the plane crash in October of 1977 and was able to climb out of the wreckage into the Mississippi swamp where the plane went down. Along with 6 dead, the 20 survivors were badly injured. Despite broken ribs, Pyle crawled thru the swamp and woods till he came onto farmland, where a farmer was standing, holding a shotgun. There was Artimus Pyle, long haired and bleeding and coming out of the dark swampy woods at night, yelling for help, so the farmer shot him in the shoulder! I'm really curious to see this Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary. There's alot of fascinating history & mystery about this Jacksonville Florida redneck band who became world famous, not for just their music, but also their insane drinking, drugging and brawling! Ronnie Van Zant would start a fist fight just like that! "If I leave here Tomorrow," Showtime, Aug. 18th 9pm.

 

I ended is someone's else's wreck tonight. started at the rear was half a lap down when I took off because last week I started from the rear and got wrecked so I purposely started from pit lane this time. I didn't need to but I'm a nice person, I'm not running for points in this series so I don't want chance getting involved in an accident and taking points away from others.

Anyhoo so I learned sometbing really early that nobody else did. Drop into 3rd gear nearing the apex of the corners would step the rear end out to help turn and then I could get on the throttle with more revs and gain down the straights.

So, I did this and drove away from first place, ended up in 13th by 30 laps in from 20th. Then drive up into 8th and then some knucklehead did a lazy spin and the rule is you aim straight for them because they won't be there when you get there. Well I aimed straight for him and he was there lol. I had to have my wheel locked hard right to go straight crab walking to pit lane. I was done.

Its this Thursday the next big race. Big for two reasons. 1 reason is it is our major league and 2. It's on my birthday, it's also at a road course in Sonoma so I don't picture making the top 10 but I will do what I do there, try 45 laps without a mistake and see how I finish. I am getting better at them.

Don't get me wrong I also think the flip side of it and all those gang bangers with their pants down past their asses with their lame ass checkered boxer shorts hanging out is equally if not more so retarded in urban culture. thankfully I don't have to see that where I live. Boy done gone get an ass kicking if he does that round ere.

We got a good race tomorrow I'm leading the championship by 1 point and we are at big bad and mean Talladega!! Where one car can wreck 20 cars hehe. I'm usually good here I understand the style of racing, but the others... I'll get wrecked no doubt it's apart of the territory, however, I did win Daytona which is basically the same race.

Its like highschool in here sometimes. I feel like I'm in class and someone doesn't have a friend so they make friends with me for the day and then the next day their friend is back and I'm on the outter again.
