What's Happening???

    I've gotten into a weird cycle. It's like a sleep in short segments around the clock instead of sleeping a whole night and staying awake a whole day.

    I hate it.

    I think it feels natural to my body but it feels totally wrong, intellectually.

    Man this lady really fucked my hair up yesterday. And i cant get it fixed because i dont want it cut any shorter

    A bad haircut always feels way more traumatic than it should

    I remember reading that this sort of sleep pattern was common in humans at one point.

    I know it feels natural but the world we live in isn't set up to function this way.

    Well for one I asked for a clean, one length cut and she added layers. Which wouldnt be the worst thing in the world except they're so poorly done. The back is longer than the front and uneven, the front just has these weird misplaced chops that make it all look shapeless...its hard to describe but its definitely the worst cut i've ever had. And its really not long enough to pull up so i'm not sure how i'm gonna hide it

    I think your body cycles a sleep pattern every hour for around 10mins. That's why sometimes you can be wide awake and then drift off. There's an application you can download on your phone called sleep cycle and you sleep with the phone under your pillow and it monitors your deep sleeps by movement. If you set your alarm for say 6am but your sleep cycles starts to measure your waking up at 545 then your alarm will go off at 545 and theoretically, you will wake in a much more energetic period of your sleep cycle.

    Now some may have a tiffy at being woken 15mins early but that's what it's designed to do. If you sleep that extra 15 until your alarm you'll miss this awakening cycle, and that's when you wake up all lethargic.

    I use to fight naps because they made me feel so much worse when I woke.

    Yeah give it ago. It doesn't work for me because I'm so sporadic but it's interesting the graphs etc. My best sleep was like 5hrs but the phone fell off the bed so it wasn't measuring lol.

    Just get a big neck tattoo, lots of piercings, black makeup...stuff like that. No one will notice your hair.

    I could offer the trite ''it'll grow back'' but in the meantime, you have a haircut that you don't like. :/

    Yeah my usual hairdresser was booked like a month out so I booked with someone new at the same salon. I love the salon itself and they're considered one of the better ones in the area so I thought I would still be in good hands :/

    Lesson learned. :oops: I have done this, and wished I had just waited. My current stylist is booked way out in advance, but worth the wait. I've had some bad haircuts, and just sat in the chair, staring into the mirror with a blank look, like the stylist had to know she fucked up. :p
