I am just waking up, about to get some coding exercises in.

 

Well, I guess I better call my friend to see if she is stopping over for the blue fiesta ware dishes she said she liked that have been sitting in the bathroom downstairs here, which is also my big laundry room in there.... for about a month now....waiting for me to make room for them....4 dinner plates, 4 dessert plates and 4 bowels......perfect condition that i found at a rummage sale for $4.00....and she mentioned she liked them before(her favorite color is blue).....and I decided to offer them to her for nothing, as i can't make room for them in my cabinets full of my mom's dishes and things(and she was very excited to be getting them)......so she was going to stop by to pick to them today.

yes, I have been finally organizing this house slowly but surely.

I need to find out when she s coming over, so i can get on with my day here and do some other things here.

 

and I also am excited, as she is invited to my neighbors house , too, on Wednesday for the first time...and will come, if she can get the time off form work that day...so I hope that she can...It will be fun to see here, too, on Wednesday.

She ran into the old mom on the driveway here one day .....mom to the man of the house in her 80's or is it 90's and really likes her already..... so i am sure once she meets and gets to know everyone..she will like them all, too.

 

Ha, that's where I wanted to go to school when I was a kid. My hero Carl Sagan taught there. But alas, I wasn't smart or rich enough.

 

It's raining, and then it stops. Rains and stops. Supposed to go to a bbq this afternoon.

Summer up north is so nice. It's humid, but the grass smells different than it does down south. Better. It smells like summer.

My friend is too tired today to stop by. It is a long trip from where she lives.......and she worked from 8pm last night until 8 am this morning......so she will have to get the dishes and other things I have for her on Wednesday, if she can make it, and I hope she does, as I will enjoy having her at the neighbors with me. She is very talkative and talks to everyone and is very entertaining..........and since I don't chit chat too much with everyone....I do say some things here and there, but basically I am just playing with the kids.....lol

When she is here...she does all of the talking, and I get a yeah, right or something like that in once in awhile....lol

Anyway, she also has to work until 8am on Wednesday, so it all depends if the person to relieve her at 8 am will show up......

She takes care of people that need help in their homes...and she is very good and caring and conscientious about her job and the people she cares for. ......

Yeah... It's brutal.

Right now it's 88 degrees and 74% humidity. That's indoors.

 

100 degrees here.....I will go alone out there today, if I go, at all.

Stan was bitten by a spider a few days ago and the red mark on his arm is alarming....and big...and looks worse every day. Last night he saw stars in both eyes.....and has had a headache ever since.....so he went to the walk in place here that takes his insurance awhile ago.....and it is a spider bite......and he is on antibiotics now....and his blood pressure was 186/91....
Holy shit...no wonder he was seeing stars last night......with a blood pressure that high.

I distinctly recall when my ma died. She got cancer & spent months in & out of chemo. Last month she just sat languishing in her rocker. Couldn't even muster the strength to rise. So unlike her......ehem anyway we had a few heart to hearts there toward the end. Think she found her peace & went happy.

 

Over 100 here, outside. 89 inside now...

 

I moved to Ithaca in 1968 to attend college and stayed till 1990. Many times I wish I had stayed there. The Finger Lakes region is so beautiful! Lots of nature, lakes, gorges, walking paths.

 

Ithaca, NY is duly noted! But I still primarily think of the island of Oddyseus when i hear the name
