That and the recent monkey king movies, unwatchable, and Im not talking about having to read the subtitles, they throw everything into CGI, but really bad overacting and childlike stories

 

I liked the monkey king. It was a kids story but no translation needed or wanted.

I dont understand that at all, her character was somewhat irrelevant but in no way anywhere near as annoying as jar jar, tico not really annoying at all IMO, del toros character was more annoying

Notice how they haven’t picked on Finn because he’s a male, he’s straight, and as a black man (from their point of view) it’s only natural he would be attracted to a white woman.

Like, when you're oblivious to all those real life social issue concerns L3-37 is actually a fun and hilarious character. There is no worry that her (for a star wars universe robot) quaint rebellious ideas for equal rights for droids will taint the canon in the future. The humorous hints at Lando's love for his droid friend is just that. It is implied as a joke he has had sex or a sexual interest in her. But some fans let it ruin everything because it must be related to the hyped gender discussion in the USA. Your loss people.

 

I think there is something else going on here, and I dont think its cos she is female, a lot more to do with her being asian

 

They get money on DVD sales, merchandising and I bet I can find more if I searched for 5 seconds.

 

You have watched different criticisms than I did. Maybe boyoga is better at letting stuff slide off his back but I heard plenty of racist comments about him and also about how blacks don't belong in the imperial army. Not made any better by his defecting to the rebels.
