I never thought he was talking about election assistance from Medvedev. Whatever they were talking about is still unknown as far as I know. And really, in 2012 I think we all knew Romney was yet another republican towel toss. Look how he went MIA on election week.

As for your advice, it's wasted on me. I read dozens of sources from CNN to Salon and Fox to Prison Planet. What I don't understand is anyone who avoids the opinions of others. If you don't experience many diverse sources, even the ones you KNOW you'll hate, how can you possibly think you have a glimpse of the bigger picture?

As far as I'm concerned the discussion becomes tainted when you feel a need to get personal.

The clip that the RWNJ news likes to pretend is 'collusion' only surfaced because they want to pretend that Trump's actual collusion is normal (oh look, they do it too!), and because they need a fake scandal to distract people from the real one. Bringing it up only serves to distract everyone and give the RWNJs a chance to muddy the discussion.

FOX and co. know it's bullshit, but they also know that if they repeat it enough, their target audience will lap it up. They don't respect their viewers and don't care about the consequences of their lies. Most of the stories they run assume that the people watching are stupid or too biased to actually think about these things too deeply.

At the time, the US was trying to improve relations with Russia, and Obama was simply talking about what he would be able to do in the name of co-operation after he won-- a win that he was obviously confident about in the same way that almost everyone else was confident about it. FFS you think that countries shouldn't try to legally co-operate with each other?

It doesn't matter how varied your news media consumption patterns are, what matters is whether or not you are capable of thinking critically about what you are reading. If you are deceived by the way FOX and co. frame a perfectly benign 'hot mic' exchange between a sitting president and foreign emissary, then you need to start thinking more critically.

FFS Prison Planet is not so far removed from the ravings of a paranoid schizophrenic-- equating them with even a semi-legitimate news source (like Salon or even Alternet) is absurd. Fox was from the very beginning a right wing propaganda outlet masterminded by a long-time Republican media consultant who worked for Nixon, Reagan and Bush... and then went on to work with Trump.

I've experienced a lot of RWNJ bullshit, believe me... both directly (for as long as I could stomach it) and indirectly through online exchanges with the people who regurgitate this shit endlessly. Pretending that all news sources are equal is part of the reason that Trump got elected-- no, sorry, they are not equal, and neither are the intellects of all voters.

My g/f who is black, won't vote Democrat. She is so tired of getting screwed over by ObamaCare and it's caliber of patients, she has just decided that she can't support them. She won't vote for Trump either.

Apparently the Anti-Trump folks don't have health issues. Obamacare has fucked up the medical system. I personally am a victim of Obamacare. Can't get insurance that is worth a damn anymore.

the way you phrased it sort of makes it sound like ..that she doesnt think people who qualify for Obamacare should get care at all because they arent quality people ..or something. I don't know but I work in healthcare and I find that sort of attitude to be problematic.
