I'm trying to figure out why those damn neighbors have started messing with me again. For the last two days, when I walk Emma (in my yard), those goons are out there whistling at us and crouching down peeping on us through the trees.

It's still pretty rural around here but my street is older and their are some rentals on it, now.

The two problem houses we have are both rentals.

I got sucked into genealogy for a couple of hours.

I have a Mayflower ancestor. My 11th Great Grandfather was the religious Elder at Plymouth.

He was given islands off Boston Harbor, 4 of which are named after him.

If kids knew who their ancestors were, they'd probably pay more attention in History class.

We have a nor’easter forming off the coast on Friday.

The meteorologists are already using the term Bombogenesis to describe the deepening low pressure system. This is going to be a big one and with already astronomically high tides the coast is going get battered

The weather channel out of Atlanta has already dispatched some of their top shock jocks so it should make for some interesting theatre

trying to figure out how to make the most of my free time this evening. Feeling restless to do something, but don't know what that something is... Oh, did I mention here yet that I'm trying to get some of my poetry on this site?? I just never have it with me when I log in and I haven't exactly been inspired to right "off the cuff" lately. hmm...
Speaking of writing, Nanowrimo has it's annual Camp (the first of two) in April and us writers are getting excited about it. Maybe this year I'll actually finish that novel!! ha! :D

They have a camp? Is it online or at some physical location that is nowhere near me?

It's online. a separate page from the main site, but you signup with your Nano account if you have one. Camp NaNoWriMo

Yeah, so there is one in April and one in July; and you apply for a "cabin" and you get to chat in a thread like this with your cabinmates for a month. Ha! your "bunkmates". :p It's cute! And it's a lot of fun with a good cabin. I've been lucky to have good ones. :D

I started a novel once. I stopped after chapter one. The first chapter was about a man bow hunting a deer. I just didn't know what to write about.

It was called Where Silent Gods Stand Guard

    :p

I was like that for many years. Think of scenes but never get a story. Heck! I'm still kinda like that, but I have at least one story to run with now. I just announced it to my old cabin, and I'm sure I'd be safe to reveal it here, but I'll judge their reaction to it first. It's hard to do this for me, because ideas haven't always come quickly to me and/or I feel shy about expressing my feelings. I never had aspirations of being famous or even necessarily publishing, so it is mostly just for me...but good stories should be told, right?? hehe assuming it's good.

One of my favorite ideas for a story is, like a historian who spends his whole life on religion and historic religion, scriptures etc etc. He's writing a book and as he's piecing together religions of the world he starts to realise that he is God.

Now I have no idea how to even start that. Lol.

In the beginning I created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep,
and my spirit was hovering over the waters.

And I said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And (with all due respect to Hank Williams) “I saw that the light” and the light was good...etc...

The whole premise though behind it is actually quite boring. Good drama film, but I probably most definitely wouldn't be interested in watching it, and I'm fairly certain I wouldn't read it. But I'll write it! :p

Listening to the Canada Geese migrating back north. Perhaps winter is almost over.

We have a crazy cold eastern wind here. Straight from east Europe and Russia :D

North western winds in winter are always more bearable here as they come from the warmer sea. East wind comes from the big land mass east where winter is much harder.

They cover whole green pastures in shit here. But to be fair: geese used to forage here when a lot of it was swampy and free game for them. Now they are considered free game.. All for our country's mighty dairy export.

The local headlines say it all “Dangerous & Potentially Life-Threatening Nor’easter On The Way Friday”

Heavy rain, hurricane force winds, massive waves along the shore, beach erosion, changing over to heavy snow before ending on Saturday morning

    We’re gonna get whacked
