I guess that came out wrong. Didn't ment to be rude about it, i assure you!

 

My dog has been put to sleep. He was diagnosed with a terrible hernia and a paralyzed right leg (among other stuff.. he was already on half a prednison tablet a day for a shepherd skin disease. The reason he didn't feel or showed any pain of the ailments he had).
Happily he only had to suffer one day max. Yesterday afternoon he still had a lot of fun and exercise. The only downside is how big of a suprise and shock it is to all of us here.

I'm now pretty glad i had the flu and stayed the last 2 weeks at the farm with my dog. An amazing thing when you think of it. I walked with him at least twice a day the last 2 weeks. Normally max. 3 times a week (as i live in the city)

He was a real good friend.

What makes it bearable is that i have yesterday's afternoon in my mind more than today.

He had a fun and lengthy life. That always makes it bearable when a friend goes. It's what i ment with my unfortunate worded comment about Spiffs friend too.

 

It always feels strange when your dog is suddenly not around anymore!

 

I heard my boy just the other day, strange because for just a few seconds, he was there, the familiar sound, stranger still when then I realised it wasn't him, because he had never been here.. or had he?

I like to think they are always with you...

Well....this was a new place where my house is down south. Normally when I go to a pizza restaurant it's in NJ and there are superior pizza places around here. I had little Caesars once. But it was at a tigers game (the owner owned the team at the time) it was good but not cheap....it was at a ball game after all.
I might just try the one a few towns over just as a fun little experiment. I can tell you that papa John's is by far the worst of all the chains.

I don't like to say 'my condolences', it feels weird (don't mind it when others use it strangely enough). That's why i try to say something nice that comes out wrong

That's not good at all.

 

He's roaming the everlasting hunting fields now. I think he doesn't mind that.

 

You might feel him for a while yet. I always feel my deceased pets hanging around for a little while longer.
I remember my first rabbit, he used to come nudge you on the back of the foot, Achilles region. When he died, I remember Bering outside looking at the pen and I felt the exact nudge he would give, exactly. I looked down. Nothing there at all. No dog, no wind nothing. But I felt him for sure.

When my dads GSD got put down, he swore he could feel and hear him for weeks.

 

I'm sure i will most be reminded of him outside. Roaming the pastures feels pointless without him. And he always greeted me with wanting to play fetch when i arrived from work. But i especially feel bad atm when wording that stuff so I stop here
