Wow! It's 7 years since I gave up tobacco! Trawling through old shit certainly has its merits!

 

Back when I was a kiddish I was painting some BMX parts in the basement (it was winter time). The whole basement had that haze look. I got done spray painting and went upstairs to watch G.I.Joe cartoon: Arise, Serpentor, Arise!

Dad came home from work, started using his bloodhound snooter in front of me..
He says "do you smell paint ?"
I say "Yeah I spray painted some bike parts in the basement"
He screams "IN THE BASEMENT!"
Dad ran downstairs faster than I've ever seen him run before.

He turns off the water heater and the furnace.

Me and my Ass have never forgotten that day. And since that day it's never happened again.

 

I remember my boys painting a BMX with paint I didn't know we had, the bike had no brakes, I was like what a waste of paint! That bike gave gave them more fun and cuts and bruises than any of the expensive ones they ever had.. and they sold it for a lot more than the few pounds they paid for it..
I didn't know it wasn't supposed to have breaks!
Turns out, granddad gave them the paint!!

 

The market was a disastrous thing to do!!
Nana is a soft touch ... Glad in home, they are fed and watching TV now... Phew! Im hot!!

 

who here knows Humita?.....steamed corn/egg dish from south America?.....you can kinda make with out steaming or banana husks but next time i am making the real thing...stuff is amazing

I had a BMX with no brakes. I wanted the bike frame to be lighter so I could do jumps higher.

Just stick my shoe behind the front wheel.

I learned a lesson real hard and quick not to put my shoe back there real hard and and too quick.

Only took one time over the handle bars to learn that lesson.

You know exactly what I mean then. they did have fun.. their faces forgot the bad side of bmxing, didn't want to sell it.. they got over it when they shared the cash lol

Kids had go carts made from prams.. we didn't have shopping carts
