This gives some credibility to the term "Rigged Votes" that the man you hate so much has tried to tell us are part of the process. He may also be rigging votes and as far as I am concerned likely is. You decide who has your interest at heart.

Roy Moore's loss in Alabama clearly struck a nerve of frustration in some people and set off a new rash of off-topic posts.

 

It could have been worse. Trump could have nominated someone to head NASA who had previously sued NASA and called for its termination.

Trump made Rick Perry the secretary of Energy, a department Perry had previously said he would abolish. Trump made Oklahoma attorney general Scott Pruitt the head of the EPA who had previously launched 14 lawsuits against the EPA and publicly stated that he wanted to dismantle it.

 

Trump has a fondness for politicians from Oklahoma. Like Pruitt, Trump's nominee to head NASA, Jim Bridenstine, is from Oklahoma.

Trump's campaign centerpiece was a rebellion against the politicians in DC and the political system in general, yet he selects politicians from Oklahoma lacking in qualifications to head major agencies in DC.

Bridestine is a U.S. House member with no academic or work experience in science and engineering. If Trump wanted to be consistent with his campaign thesis, he would have picked someone with a background and caliber of innovators such as Elon Musk of Space X and Tesla. Such people are not the run of the mill politicians of the establishment, and they have the proper qualifications to lead an agency such as NASA.

Elon Musk walked out of Trump's manufacturing council which later disbanded after numerous other members resigned in the wake of some crass decisions by Trump. The council could have served as a venue for cultivating cutting edge engineering and manufacturing, as opposed to propping up the old school petroleum industries and political cronies in Oklahoma.

 

He does not care one bit about planet earth or about leaving it in better condition than he found it in....He only cares about lining his pockets with more gold....That is why he picked people like the devil himself, Pruitt.

 

That is the way of Republicans in general. The environment is fine and always will be. Any attempt to preserve it is a conspiracy to obstruct business from our political rivals. He claims Global Warming is made up by the Chinese. So is that why China (and all of the world) now has all those restrictions on their carbon emissions? The same ones you turned down. I guess they want to sabotage their own country too. Sadly the planet has become a partisan issue and Republican voters will still find a way to blame the other guy when the weather gets even worse. Each year is the hottest on record. It does not snow for months at a time in America in areas that were once known as ski towns. Coastal towns flood in Italy flood all the time now. All the evidence is there.

 

I'd just bet this Birdenstine thinks God created the Universe in six days, and did so about 5600 years ago! These idiots from Oklahoma do not believe in evolution...unless they want to insist Negros evolved from monkeys.
