i call them "at least they're not the browns."

it just occurred to me, i may be their problem. i've been to 3 indians games in the last 15 years probably: i was at their last two world series games last year when they blew that (watching on the screen outside the stadium, i can't afford actual world series tickets), and i was at the last game they lost this year before winning 20-however-many in a row.

if i ever mention that i'm thinking about going to an indians game, fucking stop me.

on the other hand, the last browns game i was at, in about 2007 or so, was approximately the last game they won.

American aircraft carrier USS Independence (CV-62) flashed the Italian Amerigo Vespucci with light signal asking Who are you?, the full rigged ship answered Training ship Amerigo Vespucci, Italian Navy. The US ship replied You are the most beautiful ship in the world..

These lunatics and social justice activists are so bitter and miserly, and they want us all to be as miserable as they are. So they wage war on joyful traditions that bring society together, such as holidays. They’ve been waging war against thanksgiving for a while now. Out of the myth that it celebrates the genocidal takeover of native America. It does not. Thanksgiving is a feast that is celebrated after a successful fall harvest. The Indians and pilgrims ate together in the first years, before their relationships soured up in future generations.

Halloween is a holiday that is also under attack. These schoolmarmish soyboys telling children that they’re racist if they dress as a different culture. This is one that they’ve attacked more recently ever since cultural appropriation became a crime worse than littering toxic waste in a creek.

Christmas has been under attack as well by these miserable people as well who try to take the fun and joy out of everything. They try to tell us that Christmas is bad because it excludes Jews Muslims and Atheists. Well I’ve never met a non Christian who got offended when someone said Merry Christmas, instead of Happy Holidays.

Well one of those terms is a racial slur. A Chief is a term of respect and the team has the blessings of tribes. They used to have a white guy dressed up as a native in war pain for a mascot now it's a racoon. So the team is actuly doing all the stuff you likely hate in an effort to please the natives. The FSU Seminoles also have the tribes blessing and even have a person in war pant at games. They are really proud a college does this correctly and there is a place for the tribe people to be educated.I am pretty sure it's a tribe member who goes to FSU only though never white people. But believe it or not they are fine with you naming teams after them if you think they are strong and worthy of it. It just must be done in the right way. Redskins fans say it's an honor too yet they fail to listen to the native community about the name.

Being an "Indian" well from the ones I've lived with some are OK with the term some do not like it but it's not a slur so they really only go after Washington. Indian is a name we gave them they do not call themselves that but they have been known as that for so long they kind of have to go with it.

Every year this Thanksgiving truth upsets white people. I get it the holiday is about something else to you that is fine. I am not saying you actuly support what went on. But you are perpetuating the idea that everyone else just needs to shut up about the past because it's post racial white people are no so bad get it over it Trump 2020 kind of thing. And it's that thinking that makes these problems worse. You are white and in one case from Europe it's not your history or pride. Nazis march in Washington because it's OK to be white and proud right? Yet the idea that you would not use one word so someone else can be proud is unacceptable to white people,. Seems rude and silly to me.

Damn, if all this Political Correctness gets much worse, we're gonna need letters from our Mommies and Three-generations Back deceased to use a crayon, due to color, no communication for fear of pissing off the Snowflakes, and Put a gigantic fan in the night sky to correct Global Warming.

I wonder what kind of bullshit would come out if President Trump made an Executive Order this morning, of Federal Medical/Recreational Marijuana Legalization?
Some pretty speechless folks then right? Lmfao.

Snowflakes are those white people who feel their dominant position is threatened by certain aid programs for minorities and fugitives and the declining birthrate among western whites and (ab)use such things to rally against equality and everything else that happen to cost money that doesn't primarily serve them, right?

Title of ‘chief’ phased out across the Toronto District School Board | Toronto Star

    By TAMAR HARRIS Staff Reporter
    Tues., Oct. 10, 2017

The Toronto District School Board is completing a phase-out of the word “chief” from job titles, out of respect for Indigenous people.

Titles such as chief financial officer, chief academic officer and chief communications officer will see the word “chief” removed and replaced with “manager” or something similar. The changes include 12 chief positions in the professional support services department where the word manager is now used.

The work began a few years ago and is now concluding, TDSB spokesman Ryan Bird said.

Dr. Duke Redbird, curator of Indigenous art and culture at the TDSB, said the change “fits with building a student capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy and mutual respect — and that’s a quote from the Truth and Reconciliation (Commission) recommendations.” The commission was set up to examine the abuse suffered by Indigenous children in Canada’s former residential school system. Its final report made 94 recommendations.

Redbird said the TDSB move solves two problems: First, job titles will more clearly describe what the jobs actually entail. Second, it respects the importance and historical significance of the role of chief in Indigenous communities.

“And it helps in our own community, that these designated titles … are recognized for what they actually are — which are earned titles that you get through a democratic process of an election,” Redbird said.

“The word has a lot of meaning to our people,” he added. “Whenever we talk about a person who is a chief, it’s an incredibly important position. One of the things that we have found in the past is that the word chief was used as a slang, pejorative word, describing anyone who happened to be of Indigenous background.”

When asked if he’d like to see the word chief switched out across the board, Redbird said the term is an English one.

“It belongs to the English language. It belongs to the settlers. We do not have a problem with their use of their word for what they want to describe in their communities. We are only grateful to the Toronto District School Board, that they saw that it could be used in a derogatory term against our students.”

Damien Lee, an assistant professor of Indigenous studies at the University of Saskatchewan, could not comment on the TDSB’s use of the word chief, but said the term carries “baggage.”

“It has been used as a pejorative,” Lee said. “Some people will use it in a kind of demeaning way.”

The term chief was not used by Indigenous peoples prior to colonization, he noted.

It appears in the Indian Act, a piece of legislation passed by the Parliament of Canada in 1876 and meant “to get rid of Indigenous people,” Lee said.

Under the Indian Act, the term chief carries the weight of “being forced to adopt an alien form of governance,” Lee said.

The legislation mandates that First Nations have a chief and council — a municipal style of government.

“Indigenous communities do have, and always have had and continue to have, their own inherent governance systems that don’t really look like a municipal government,” Lee said.

Historical revisionism has been around. It has its own faults tho, its good to hear other points of view even if your not a convert.
