I'm watching in utter non-surprise as the passage of the Trump tax plan (I know, other people wrote it of course) has most of the media in full blown spew mode. Even some of the most rabid anti-Trump reporting services (hard to call them news anymore) seem to be regurgitating the stats of who will see more cash in their wallet in the next cycle. But how long will that cycle actually be. Don't forget that some of the Obama-era changes don't kick in until 2019 and we've heard little about Trump's plans to turn those around. So once again it's just a temporary fix designed to let a republican cruise through his term(s) unimpeded by the fiscal gripes of constituent serfs. All Trump has done so far is go after the more visible aspects of Obama's "legacy". As if it was personal. While I do agree that the Individual Mandate was a terrible, hideous thing to do to the most vulnerable Americans, the younger ones who don't actually need much in the way of health insurance and will go many years without ever meeting much less surpassing their deductibles, making it go away, but not officially until 2019 is very suspicious. I have a feeling that something will take its place. In fact, by 2021 I think we'll see not only another recession, likely brought about by yet another housing bubble, but we'll also finally see just how fucked anyone with a recent college degree really is. Employers won't hire them because they will have no choice but to demand higher salaries to pay off these millstones. By saddling a generation with this much debt we have created a situation that used to befall primarily single mothers, the stigma of employers having to take care of them and their brood. Only this time the gender doesn't matter and the brood is a massive debt to the government (thanks to "government guarantees student loans" which really means "we guarantee payment since we can take it from them"). If the next recession doesn't kick off a multi-decade depression, the one after that will. Which means the democrats will catch the blame. As if on cue.
First of all, I didn't care for Roy Moore when he pulled all that 10 Commandments bullshit. Government isn't about religion and yet, we get to see that so much. Especially here in Georgia where they only recently began to allow liquor stores to open on Sunday. The state representatives who were against it plainly stated that it was "against their faith". They fight liquor, which has only a minor role in biblical lore, but they look the other way on abortion which would seem like a core issue for them. Go figure. For the record, humans have been aborting pregnancies for thousands of years, laws will never change that. By the way, I was right about Trump in 2016. Now he's the president. I had high hopes for Obama, especially hoping he'd end the "racist" War on Drugs. He didn't. He also made us look as weak on the world stage as Jimmy Carter did with the Iran issue. During the hostage crisis, while Jimmy sat on his thumb, Ross Perot flew to Iran with a sack of cash and bribed the Iranians to keep the hostages out of the Iranian prisons and safely sequestered. As I have said before, America needs an asshole in the top seat, not another weenie. And a LOT of people need to read up on impeachment so they can learn that it doesn't happen just because you don't like someone. You MUST have a congressional consensus. And that doesn't exist at the moment. So all this impeachment talk just looks stupid as do the loons who keep harping it up. I still think Trump will get us into a war. I also think it will be decisive, but the blowback will reach American schools, malls and sports venues. Get ready for American rage folks, it's not going to be pretty. But by all means, keep poking the bear. As for Roy Moore, dig up the REAL dirt, it's there. Distracting his shit with fake ass "rape" charges will only help him in the long run. He has REAL skeletons in the closet, just like the Clintons.
The US needs a grade A certified prick in the top seat. Don't get me wrong, I had high hopes for Obama, but he was too much for not enough time. The US is famous for incremental changes that are very very slow. Everyone who rushes the process gets fucked. I have never liked Trump, he's an arrogant bastard who lets his narrow opinion rule him even when he should shut the fuck up and read a brief on the issue first. The image of him throwing a finger is exactly what I see. But, after so many decades of wimps in the white house, it's time we had a rude, ugly American out front. I used to like Bernie till he pulled the race card, making him look pretty foolish. Hey Bernie, I had to put foil on my TV antenna to pick up The Jeffersons, and I'm white. But Bernie really lost the respect of world leaders when he let a couple of girls ruin his rally. Bernie's just not enough of an asshole when it counts. I don't think the Clintons can pull it off, but she's certainly a massive asshole. She and Bill together make an asshole the size of Arkansas. But they are still trying to use the old playbook, the one that created "The Clinton Machine". The same one that was so easily trashed by Obama by simply holding up the race card (Hillary was more qualified and we all know it). As tough as Obama was in the primaries and beyond, it's weird how after the election he embarks on the World Apology Tour to denigrate the country that made him possible. If Trump wins, I predict war. However, I predict decisive war. Not this rules of engagement nonsense that started in Korea and Vietnam. If Clinton wins I predict the same kind of war that Obama is currently waging and has been doing since he toppled Gaddafi in Libya. Bill payed a lot of bribes to keep radical Islam from attacking the US. Bill payed the school bullies off basically. When GW took the throne, he shut off the river of bribe money. Less than a year later we got 9/11. Instead of trying to draw a straight line between cause and effect like the press is inclined to do, perhaps tracking the patterns of incompetence would be better. A 6-Sigma/FMEA approach maybe. I predict attempts on Trump's life, but I think his family is where the real peril will lie. We see lots of people willing to cross the line over words these days. So much hatred that kids are no longer off limits? If that's the case, I fear for the Obama daughters. We can't have 1 side that plays by the rules and 1 side that feels the rules are racist and don't apply to them. That's one of the biggest issues we face as a nation. If we can get beyond it, we can turn this nation's policy once again to the best interests of the Americans. As long as people allow themselves to be knocked off balance on issues like race, politics and faith, we're screwed as Americans. Sure, the US has had some very rough spots in history, consider how many of those were inherited and/or complicated from England? France? Spain? Holland? Portugal? We're so far beyond that and the model created by the founders is still one of the best examples of compromise and flexibility in history. Respect that. And respect the numbers of Americans there are. How dare anyone sell us short. Americans feed a LOT of people on this planet outside of the US borders. We're generally a generous lot. Celebrate our progress, not our sordid past. For a long time the destiny of the US was very precarious. We're like the charter school of the planet!
And we know who they are. They are everybody. Everybody who wants to sell something is spying on us. This includes: Politicians Vehicle makers Entertainers Food producers etc This is also their primary weakness. Because they rely on samples and never take a full inventory. It can all be manipulated. Misdirection can cause an issue to be amplified or driven to obscurity. That issue could be a lying senator, greedy CEO or predatory bank. Vanity is their other failing. So that applying too much praise to an issue can cause its owners to invest unwisely. I love boycotts as well. But usually just for greedy people. Just to scramble the web side of it, I let the ads run wild. So I do searches for shit I'll never ever need. Any ideas folks?
I avoid the police. Not just because I'm known to toke. But also because I don't want them to know I exist. Once they do, I turn into an ATM for tickets or other harassment. Oinkers have always been like this. Any encounter a citizen has with them will likely cost money and can lead to injuries and death if they really decide they dislike you. All the other cops will hide shit that other cops do to citizens. And only a moron thinks they can actually "win" a fight with a cop.
