  1. I'm kind of surprised Jones wasn't ejected long ago. To see it happen in such an obvious, sloppy manner was eye opening. Sure, private sites can do whatever they yadda yadda yaddaaaaa, I get that. But honestly, does this seem right? I've been using remote computer services since the early 80s including the CB Simulator on Compuserve. I got kicked off of GEnie by a system monitor who posed as a chat member to goad people into arguments. It sucked. But then I found PC-Link, Prodigy and AOL.

I didn't get kicked off AOL, but I was clamped down pretty tightly. It became Google with training wheels but the chat rooms were a wasteland of bots and porno spammers. Services like MySpace and FaceBook took chat rooms and bulletin boards to the next level. But sometimes the interface is just way too busy. Sometimes all you want to do is chat.

Alex was wise to have alternatives in place before the private platforms colluded in and anti-trust manner to concentrate their efforts on him. But he was also far too involved, using his own accounts for this. It should have been several alternate accounts linked to his main site.

    Stay tuned folks...............................................

It's time to grow the fuck up and quit clogging our politics with this kind of stupid shit.

Naturally I invite someone to post the list of childish names that people on the right call people on the left.
    You and Deidre like this.
  3. Alla-a-a-a-a-a-a-AH! ... Alla-a-a-a-a-a-a-AH!

We come from the land of the strife and woe
From the Shi'ite slums where the parked cars blow
    The prophet of Allah
Will drive our hordes to dhim lands
To whore your child, laughing and crying
    Inshallah, we are coming
On we sweep, with mocking sneer
Our only ploy to make the racist smear

    Alla-a-a-a-a-a-AH! ... Alla-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-AH!

We come from the land where the wives get stoned
To the depraved lands, where we go on the dole
    How soft your elites be
To whimper our acts of war
Of how we turned the childs of York
    We are your overlords
On we sweep, with sacred goal
Our only aim to crush your Western soul
Too late for you to stop
    Avoid the road to ruin
For "Peace" and "Love" led you astray
    The cause of your undoin'

    Wallah, wallah, wallah
    Wallah, wallah, wallah ....
  4. “The demonological theory of those dark times has won in the end against all the somatic views of the period of ‘exact science.’ The states of possession correspond to our neuroses, for the explanation of which we once more have recourse to psychical powers.” - Freud

In the 80s I remember that anyone who abused a child was rightfully demonized. These days it seems like the abusers are not only much worse than ever, but that the frenzy for exposing them has subsided. Even the courts seem to be covering for them after decades of feeding them to the wolves in general population.

Today our society is fixated on witch-hunts against “micro-aggressions” (so slight the abuser is apparently unaware they are doing it), triggering (a few words thrown out that instantly transform the victim back to some prior trauma), sexual harassment (but only when men do it), and of course racism (a term that is redefined about every 4 years).

Attempts at psychoanalysis for the malfunctioned sexual life of adolescents and young adults, the low college graduation rate of men, and other alleged ills have transformed universities into controlled therapy centers, subjecting every aspect of life to probing control. Disguised as coddling and caring but delivering only platitudes and candy.

It seems more and more like “political correctness” is an oversimplification of Freuds theory. It presumes that the waking cognizance of ethnic, racial, and sexual minorities and indeed women is a fixed collection of traumatic experiences (or memories of the experiences of others that “could happen” to them).

Society (as controlled by government and media) seeks to prevent the triggering of these tender minds. So now, our public agencies, schools, colleges and even our entertainment have been converted into the functional equivalent of psychiatric rehab clinics as close as our ubiquitous phones. The charter is that all communications must be controlled and censored to minimize the potential for trauma.

Ultimately it seems like the goal of all of this is to stunt the development of people so they remain dependent on the state. A race of humanity that never grows up to realize its potential. Peter Pan gone mainstream. The REAL education will of course be delivered to the few who will become our masters. Never are we allowed to ask what happens if they are wrong lest we become demonized and ostracized.

  5. Think about how our written language skills have changed. We went from writing paper letters, to voice communication and now we write electronic letters that travel instantaneously. Not only that, but our electronic letters can go to many more recipients or even out to the public at large. And like the most popular news stories, our writing can be elevated to mass exposure for being infamous or exceedingly clever.

Unfortunately, this also exposes any and all holes in our education. Grammatical and orthographic mistakes can stand out embarrassingly and destroy the original point of the prose instantly. But who among us can say we didn't sleep or daydream through a few (or several) English classes? Thankfully we have an army of assholes out there poised to reprimand us for our literary mistakes. Which is rather trite in an age where English has over a million words.

English itself went through a renaissance with the discovery of the New World. Prior to that it sounded much like German until the 12th century. Then came Middle English which required extra letters to solidify concepts (like shoppe). For a while it was a land of many different languages and fantastic trade resources. English speakers routinely borrowed words from other languages because they wanted to trade for specific things.

Then we had Shakespear who added hundreds of words to the language to make his job easier. An interesting example of blazingly fast evolution of language was a treaty written in the 10th century between the Frankreich and Ostreich kingdoms. In less than a century the Ostreich language had merged away from common Flemish and into more of the Germanic and reached a point that nobody could read the treaty anymore.

HG Wells wrote a dictionary that he felt made English far more efficient. It didn't catch on. Orwell later capitalized on this by making it seem as though the government would ultimately force the population to limit the lexicon. Instead, we have more words than ever. He was also wrong about the government spying on us. Sure they spy on some of us, but these days we spy on ourselves far more than the government ever considered.

In all of this we humans still think we're superior beings and yet, we're still working with brains made for living in the wild. Only our clever tools allow us to so readily fool ourselves into delusions of superiority. One of those tools is our self-contrived moral compass.
