Unpleasant Fashion

It is strange, I know.
As far as England is concerned, what was considered normal and perfectly acceptable for swimming in years gone by now is seldom seen. I would wear unlined suits with very thin sides and had no problems, suits which today are sniggered at and termed budgie smugglers. The fashion today mostly is for board shorts and baggy shorts, which to me look very unflattering to your figures. They also hold a lot of water which must slow you down as you swim and also take much longer to dry. As you say, women are allowed to wear much briefer suits - swimsuits and bikinis that often show off a lot of cleavage. One lady at my local public swimming baths wears a very tiny bikini swimming - two tiny triangles at the top just covering her breasts and two tiny triangles for the bottom half revealing a lot of backside and no objections are raised. I for my part go against the trend for men's swimwear. At my age, 69, I am too old to change (!) and wear still a very small unlined suit with very thin sides (a Brave Person suit). This is definitely the smallest male suit in the pool but I don't see why I should change as it covers every part of my genitals and nobody should have any legitimate reason for complaint. I do wonder whether it is the wives of the guys that discourage them from wearing much more practicable suits by their comments, or perhaps their peers, in which case they should stand up for themselves and wear what they want to.

Surprising if you like to buy a brief swimming man suit you can't find in any department store.

The nearest thing to what I like to wear are Speedos and you can buy them in some department stores, but even these are laughed at by many here. I can't buy the swimwear I like in England - I have to order them through ebay from China.

I have an old brief swimming suit which I got it 40 years ago in England and I have kept it to wear sometimes. It looks a little tide but I am comfortable in it.

I cannot understand why today men feel uncomfortable to show the outlines of their cocks in swimwear, so have to wear voluminous shorts to hide them. Women in their swimsuits and bikinis do not hide the fact that they have sexy arses and tits, do they, but many positively accentuate the fact and display them openly? Trunks are the only swimwear available to men in department stores. I had to wait for the internet to come around before I could find more options. If that's the case then I guess we need to arrest thousands of olympic swimmers for indecent exposure. I prefer to swim nude, if I can help it. If I can't, then I'm gonna wear as little as I'm allowed to. If more women are allowed to wear thong bikinis nowadays, I shouldn't have to be judged for wearing a form fitting suit that covers everything it's legally required to.

I say that this 'difference in acceptable fashion' between men and women goes beyond swimwear to all clothing. Society very much has a double standard that in general clothing for men is to be 'loose and not designed to be overtly sexual' while clothing for women in general is designed to be "more snug and designed to be more sexy/attractive." Even in business wear, men's suits are typically very loose fitting and 'bland' while business wear for women, while still conservative to a degree, often are much more snug/ more revealing, and more 'fashionable.'

I think the main reason for differences in fashion for men and women is the fashion designers who mostly are men and control the markets. The best fashion designers are men, the best architectures are men, the best directors, best cooks, the best doctors, the best politician, the best presidents, the best army leaders, the best explorers, the best judges, the best authors, ..... and many many many other the bests are men. So what is the results? The results are controlling societies by men. Fortunately or unfortunately men govern life in any aspect and they have the power to create and demand whatever they like or desire. The fashion and sex markets deal with women, which means women are the main target and subject that men try to regulate. On the other hand, the majority of women, according to their natures, feel more dependent on men to get more support. consequently, they try to satisfy men no matter how, by sex, by love, and any other ways. Men get the advantage over women by producing sexy fashionable clothes as well as makeup manufacturing productions. So, any production of type of clothes for women are based on the sex wishes of men.
