Rescuing His A** from Fire

It sounds very dramatic! It's a story about an employee who has a proposed termination and I'm the one elected to speak on his behalf.
My sleep has been altered and I have taken two days off from work to write a fourteen page letter on behalf of the employee. (I did not go to school of the law. I am easily distracted. I reread my work and always find typos or irregularities).
It's a strange story about two men who are 'playful' with each other at work. Neither identifies as gay. Then, one day, one of the two decided he no longer wanted to play and he wrote the other guy up. In his report, he said that this unwanted behavior had been going on for over two years. (He later said that it had been going on for over 3 years).
I have difficulty trusting people in general. My heart goes out to people who are unable or unwilling to express their sexuality publicly. I, for example, am gay on an as-need-to-know basis. I don't mind being gay here since I have a level of anonymity and have yet to have anything other than virtual contact with those online.
Still... I don't engage co-workers sexually and for that i am very thankful. Rescuing someone for the fire is stressful!
