Posting picture on my avatar?

How do I go about doing this? I'm a Old Country Girl and I'm not very good with this High tech stuff. Also how do I post a picture on the messages?

Do you mean change your avatar? Click your avatar on your profile page and you should get a popup that allows you to upload a new image. Ince the file is uploaded make sure the use custom images radio button is selected and hit "okay"

You should be able to select "Upload a file" to any post, select a file and it will give you the option to post full size or thumbnail.
