My Inbox from May, 2004

It's not one of those exciting entries. It's one of those activities that happens from time to time; like when one opens a bag of loose photos and wonders where a photo was taken, when it was taken, who are in the photo, or why this is even in the collection. For me, if I have had something or a long time, the duration of possession is what stops me from throwing it away.
Folks sometimes ask how long I have been here. I looked at my inbox history and note that I had a correspondence with Skip back in May, 2004. But there was a life for me here before that. Before Hipforums, there was Hip Planet – Discover A New World! ... which featured an email account!
Some of the names from the past are no longer around on this website. I'm guessing they never set up a notification to have an internal message on Hipforums sent to a standard email account somewhere. Too bad, because some of my old buds were good correspondents and had positive input. Or they just had fun/exciting events in their lives at the moment.
A few days ago, I went backwards from oldest to newest and sent a message to all of those old names (that hadn't been removed) to just say, "Hi!" and "I'm still here." So far there have been no takers. I know of two people here who have friended me on Facebook. We're not 'tight' but we communicate.
