Listening to the B-sides

I have a collection of 45s that have a collection of dust on the record box. I'm feeling the need to connect with the sounds that I had heard back in the day.
Many of them have a B-side song that I had never heard. The plan for me is to listen to the sounds that are unfamiliar from the reverse side.
I've tried this 'experiment' on about 5 or 6 records. Surprisingly, the results were quite disappointing. There's a reason why a song on a B-side makes it there.
