Left Hung Out to Dry (Mówię o moim mokrym praniu)

I live in a tiny home that has 3/4 acre of land. And on my land I have strung a line that I use for drying my clothes. I also have access to a chain link fence that I use for the same purpose. People who are obsessed with clothes dryers do not or cannot understand the love of drying clothes to air, sun, and wind.
My last germophobe friend used to talk of the spore and dusts and allergens that would cling to the laundry and affix themselves to the surface of things that were placed outside to dry. You also never know if spiders or daddy-long-legs or ants or garden bugs will crawl on the wash. And, of course, there is always the worry of bird poop hitting the garments, towels, shirts, pants, and/or unmentionables.
By contrast, IMHO, clothes that dry outside last longer, save money in comparison to using an electric dryer, and run less chance of shrinking. Is there a downside? Too much sun can affect certain colored garments (I wear mostly white). Sometimes jeans or towels might end up stiffer than they would out of a dryer. Big deal! Just shake them a bit. Jeans will take on your shape after you put them on and a towel will more or less reconstitute to what it should be after you dry yourself with it.
There is also something to be said about having clothes that smell like nothing. I mean, it's not as if I live next to sulfur-producing smokestacks in Elizabeth, New Jersey! My clothing has been flapping in the Southern California breeze. I use unscented soaps and don't add bleach or bluing. I might add a bit of washing soda in the wash cycle. My clothes truly smell of nothing and to me that is infinitely superior to clothes that smell as if they had been sitting in a bucket of lavender.
