Go ask Alex, when he's 10 feet tall

I'm kind of surprised Jones wasn't ejected long ago. To see it happen in such an obvious, sloppy manner was eye opening. Sure, private sites can do whatever they yadda yadda yaddaaaaa, I get that. But honestly, does this seem right? I've been using remote computer services since the early 80s including the CB Simulator on Compuserve. I got kicked off of GEnie by a system monitor who posed as a chat member to goad people into arguments. It sucked. But then I found PC-Link, Prodigy and AOL.
I didn't get kicked off AOL, but I was clamped down pretty tightly. It became Google with training wheels but the chat rooms were a wasteland of bots and porno spammers. Services like MySpace and FaceBook took chat rooms and bulletin boards to the next level. But sometimes the interface is just way too busy. Sometimes all you want to do is chat.
Alex was wise to have alternatives in place before the private platforms colluded in and anti-trust manner to concentrate their efforts on him. But he was also far too involved, using his own accounts for this. It should have been several alternate accounts linked to his main site.
Stay tuned folks...............................................
