Pledge of Allegiance in Connecticut 1942

This was the US pledge of allegiance before WWII. After the war, hand on chest, and "one nation under God" was added in 1953, also to distance from godless communists and NAZI state worship. IMHO, it was theater, as the state is still worshipped in the pledge of allegiance, as kids are indoctrinated
