Pineapple Express was FAF (funny as fuck, pass it on). And I loved Half Baked. Other non-stoner movies that I like watching when I'm high: Batman was great high but hard to remember the next day The Flintstones Any Comedy is fabulous
three quite good stoner movies i have see lately are listed below. 1. night of the living dead 3D. (i bought the dvd 2-D version.) this is the third re-make of george romero's 1967 classic movie. the NOTLD traditionalists have whined to no end about how "bad" this movie is; yet, both george romero, whom directed the first NOTLD back in 1967, and tom savini whom directed the 1989 re-make; both loved this fresh, creative, comedy-horror re-make of NOTLD, and i agree 100% with both romero and savini about the new version of NOTLD! most of the movie takes place on a plant farm (only one crop is grown on this farm. guess what that crop is.) it run by a family of hippie-stoners. (i sure would love to live on this farm with these way cool people!) when i first saw this re-make of NOTLD, i thought, a better title would be, 'cheech and chong meet the living dead.' I LOVE THIS MOVIE TO NO END! 2. visions of suffering. this is one hell of a way, way great movie from russia! when i first saw this movie, i thought i was having flashbacks to my younger days when i was dropping acid. VOS is the only movie, that i have come accross, that is most like my experences while tripping on acid. I RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE MOST HIGHLY! 3. pot zombies. one hell of a wild hoot to watch stoned!
just downloaded across the universe, looks pretty good! love the "i am the walrus". great psychedelic representations throughout (especially beginning trails)
Of course Cheech and Chong, Fear and Loathing, and one you guys might wanna look up is an animated film based from a comic book in the sixties called Fritz The Cat. You can find it on ebay or amazon as a dvd. It's well worth it, trippy and excellent to watch when you're stoned. It is adult-oriented though.
Across the Universe is pretty awesome. So is Hair, Dazed and Confused, Half Baked, Yellow Submarine, The Wall, Up in Smoke, Woodstock, Almost famous ... I could go on. Idk if those are "hippie movies", but i love them and they trip me out when I watch them
OMG Yes FlowerChild!!! The Stoned Age, I used to rent that from the video store when I was 12 every weekend! My parents thought something was wrong with that Requiem for a dream is pretty good too, until the time I let the kid I was babysitting watch it with me. She was 9 and just got scared of fridges for the next 2 weeks. Peace FlowerChild <3
The Wackness is an amazing movie too. Ok I'm gonna stop taking up this whole thread with all my posts! Peace&Love&Barefeet<3
Almost Famous, Steal This Movie, Fritz the Cat, The Cars the movie, Back to the Beach, Into the Wild and all Cheech and Chong flicks are pretty good. There are so many wonderful movies, it is hard to think of them all.
