Well, Johnny Walker's Red label is not that expensive, but a few other brands to consider would be Early Times, Yukon Jack, perhaps Windsor?

Black Velvet & Lord Calvert are not expensive, also VO & Winsdor are good.

in terms of cheap bourbon, Ten High is pretty decent. If I had to go cheap I'd go there, but I generally drink either Makers Mark, Wild Turkey or Knob Creek

There is no such thing as good cheap whiskey. Canadian whiskey is only good for making whiskey sours. (Of course, the mix has to be powdered, not that syrupy bottled crap.) Bourbon is only good on a ski slope or with a beer chaser around a camp fire. The only good straight whiskey in all other settings is a 12-year old and/or single malt Scotch on the rocks.

Let me shake Huckfinn by the hand, It aint whiskey unless it comes from Scotland or Ireland (sorry to be pedantic) If your looking for whiskey then a good all round bottle would be Bells,

A suggestion for a realy nice Whiskey would have to be Isle of Jura or Glenmorangie, both realy nice Malts

Bells isn't bad for a blend. I love Jameson's. The head of my company whom I met out in Barcelona bought me a few single malt scotch whiskeys. They were superb.

Oh and so far so good, and I hope this reminder is redundant, but Jack Daniel's is NOT whiskey!

If you like wiskey try regular Souther Comfort on ice it is the most plesant tasting liquor I have ever had and it costs $15 a 5th here in Michigan. I may only be 16 almost 17 but staying intoxicated on something since I was 10 is the only thing that kept me halfway sane since almost everything I once loved has been lost.
