A love letter to yourself (by me)

    In all this life
There is a love that endures
But, it’s not easy to find
We may seek high and low
Only to come back to zero

    Love is a tender thing
    A gentle breeze
    A kind glance
    A gesture of thanksgiving

    Love is not unkind
    It’s poised to perfect
It lights up a sky, as well as a heart
It gives new meaning to life

    All love can be true
But, only one love will truly save you
It’s the love you have deep inside
It resides in the crevices of your being
    And it tends to hide

    The love for yourself
    No love was ever stronger
No love was ever more powerful
Yet, we don’t pay it much mind
We think that love is found without
    And, not within

Take the time to find this love
    To nurture yourself
To be good to your heart
For this love, is the best kind
And if you never love yourself
You will likely, never love another

    That might seem cruel
    It might seem cold
But, a love like this is brazen and bold

And to think you don’t deserve it
    Will cause you much pain
    So, don’t waste another moment
Don’t spend this love in vain

Before the days of the internet, we had to write the letters and wait several days for a reply.
Does this video remind you of writing any of your letters.? This amazing piece of music had a lot or personal meaning to Tchaikovsky, who had exchanged more than 1200 letters with a woman who he never met. He dedicated his 4th symphony to her and many people (including myself) believe that it was his inspiration to chose Eugene Onegin as the subject for his most famous opera.

Thanks for reading it, Friar Turk and wilsjane :)

@wilsjane My parents tell me about how they wrote letters to each other when they were dating and how the internet has caused a loss in the romance, in their eyes. That's a beautiful story.

Did you enjoy watching Tatiana writing her letter to Eugene, Anna Netrebko is awesome. Few people who listen to Tchaikovsky realize that he wrote 11 operas. They are all too busy singing 'everyone's a fruit and nut case'. LOL

lol There are many composers that get a bad rap, or people just don't know. I like all genres of music, and it's so enlightening to listen to music that started other forms of music, you know?

I did like the story. :)
