I've heard that China will back N. Korea so war with them likely will = war with China = nuclear apocalypse.
That's what I'm afraid of. USA Today also, reported that South Korea "simulated" a response to the nuclear test by firing missiles into the sea. That could further provoke the North. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2017/09/04/south-korea-simulates-attack-on-norths-nuke-site-after-test/105264834/
I think the US really needs to get on the horn with China and work out an agreement. Have some cooperation in place if they ever do need to retaliate from N. Korean aggression. China has to be in the loop and onboard. Say, "hey, all we want is Kim Jong's leadership knocked out. Let's work together to strike out his government and China can take over N. Korea as a new Chinese province". I think that would be a fair compromise to avoid WW3.
When a U.S. President akin to a leader of a "Team America" response - the behind the scenes collusion of a 3rd major power seems to be more of a hot than cold war scenario which only need one rash action to ignite a Fire - Where are the Henry Kissinger and James Donovan type characters one wonders? - as one who recalls the dangers of the early/mid '60's real danger of Nuclear threats - and perhaps with age the realisation that lessons from history are regularly ignored - One does worry
The first thing every American have to know is that the distance between United States and North Korea is 10,500 kilometers. The second thing Americans have to know is that, North Korea have people, like United States, they are not different, you are not special and they are not a bunch of uncultured farmers with love for a regime. The third and most important things Americans have to do is the simple: "Why?" What you have to understand is that when ever government wants you to think and act in a certain way that will bring justification to an action they have already planning to make, they must make the person that they hate a buggy-man.
Americans know all of this. None of it changes the fact that North Korea is run by a mentally unhinged leader who is constantly preaching destruction of the West. No Americans want war with North Korea--or anyone for that matter--but if it's us or them, then it's going to be them.
The problem is however, that it isn't going to be just "U.S. and them" - it'll end up being a WW issue & global concern
When it comes to 'us; and them, I have found that a significant amount of Americans do believe and take it as, U.S.
