that's because you are doing it wrong. probably not a proper filtration set-up and keeping the wrong mix of fish it sounds like. and most fish tend to congregate in large groups, you know "schools".
Enjoy reading about the controversies surrounding the Carriage Horse dispute in NYC and the captive Orcas / Killer Whales. Saw the movie: "Blackfish" about Orca's at Seaworld. Visited with the Orca at the Miami Seaquarium. It was exceeding friendly and interested in people and it hung on your every word when spoken to. In Miami, the Orca is alone.
For people who think pet ownership is wrong, what would you propose as a solution. Meaning, what should we do about the domesticated animals who already exist and who can't survive without us? I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm honestly really asking.
They'd probably say "oh just give them back the lands and ways of life we took away" lol but you know there's many examples of pets which we gave them land and give them life. Some pets have been purely bred for domesticated use. That is they won't survive in the wild. Therefore there is no land and no ways of life to give back, they simply exist in our lives because we've let them. And so what do you do with them? It would be animal cruelty to let them try and live in wild. Its a simple question for me: If you're a shit person then don't get pets If you're a good person who'll look after them properly then do them a favor because they need it. Do you wanna be a shit ****? No, so don't be a shit ****.
In general trying to keep wild animals as pets is a very bad idea... But sometimes the wild animal chooses you and would have it no other way. ? Erin and I have saved each other's lives a few times since this photo. She's 11 years old now and quite content.
